Griefers or Gankers

I use to play EVE but I finally got to the point of stopping because of this. The policies that were put forth encouraged it. Now I am reading about the Bounty Hunter Class and seems to be plenty of discussion about it. I dont want to see this in the game my reason are simple if you want to PVP then go to the Arena or challenge someone to fight but not being able to just come in and destroy another players because you can. Star Citizen as I have read is a persistent world or did I miss read it so no zones for pvp unless its in the arena.  I realize its still in development  and I want to be involved but at this point in time I much rather save my coins until they decide what they want to do about implementing it into their world Pirates another term for Griefers i dont know ??

You may want to read up on two concepts in SC:

    1) PvP versus PvE slider (and its effect on forced PvP)

    2) Heavily policed inner systems with "no-fire " zones versus lawless outer pirate systems.

Furthermore, the proper use of stealth plus EW plus Sensors and/or speed will be important options for those who want to void PvP.

    Have fun

    PS:
In the current Alpha 2.0 and 2.1 no police ships are active yet.

SC in this state isn't a good game for you honestly. ATM it is a goon and griefers fest, they are bombing spawning plattforms, ram fresh spawned ships into nothingness and destroy ships in the repair station.

When you have cake, it is not the cake that creates the most magnificent of experiences, but it is the emotions attached to it.
    The cake is a lie.

If you are talking about the bounty hunter role as a whole I can't imagine ANY space opera games not having it.... it is kinda one of the main pillar of those type of games.

If you are solely talking about the security aspects of it I'm sure it is just not implemented yet because the game is in test stage.

Agree thats what I have been hearing from reading some player post so I guess the best thing to do is not even go there I dont want another EVE.

don't even get me started on EVE, i just hope that the pirated areas dont keep you from enjoying SC, I would hope that the "pirate" areas could be turned into a lawful section even if it's temporary or even player influenced/controlled like a guild can uphold the law. Its still in its early stages so hopefully these pirates are actually giving them some good data to ram the authoritative fist of justice down there throat, cause nothing is more annoying than someone that camps a spawn site.

I can't recall SC ever being marketed as a "hardcore PVP game".

I imagine the final version of SC will be a watered-down version of EVE in a sense.

Much safer "safe zone" than EVE, but an equally lawless "badlands" outside the safe zone.
