that is indeed true but very few of the qualities of the prophet mohammad, he's not only a man with great manners, but he's a man where and when there's no one like him, neither in our life time nor before his lifetime.

to the above poster, your lack of knowledge is a proof of your ignorance, first of all muslims don't worship mohammad, they worship Allah ( The God ) , second of all the prophet mohammad's wives never did something they needed to be deciplined about, they were very knowledgable and very obedient, he never even needed to raise his voice against them.

Religion is made for one thing and one thing alone... to oppress the people.
I find it very interesting that, at the same time people are complaining about drawings of a certain prophet and stating it is an attack on a minority, they are hanging homosexuals, portraying Jews as the Devil's servants and in many cases subduing women to almost slavedom.
I am not preaching my beliefs to you so please take your beliefs elsewhere. This goes for any other religion as not one single of them holds any thruth to what people preach. All religions are in one way or another oppressing the people, that being women, homosexuals or other minorities.

Where did I mention women being oppressed by wearing scarfs? I didn't because I know some people choose to wear a scarf and some even have to wear one for health reasons. Do not assume me to be ignorant I probably know more about things than you might think.
I am not saying that we all should be homosexual or any of the other things you are writing about. Alone the fact that you are writing such assumptions prove that you are the one among us that is ignorant. I just stated that people in some islamic contries get persecuted for their sexual, political and religious orientation. No more than a week ago 2 young boys were hanged in Iran because of their sexual orientation.
To me a woman is being oppressed if she fears for her life if she doesn't marry the man her parents tell her to marry. You say the media only show violence... I tell you what I see... A newly married woman being shot down on open street by her own brother cause she married out of love rather than what her parents told her.
