The latest Shroud of the Avatar newsletter has arrived and is, as usual, packed with lots of neat information about the game, including the news that Andy Cortez's Resolute scene will be sent out with Release 26 set to arrive on January 28th. In the newsletter, new players will follow the Path of Courage along the Resolute story line. To show off some of what can be expected, several new (and beautiful) screens were released.

All this devotion by the devs for a game that offers next nothing new to the genre.
I have watched gameplay of it.. The combat is laughably outdated and slow. The graphics are sub-par (especially with the likes of Black Desert ready for release) and really boring and lifeless.
Oh well, I do wish them all best with it. It's not that they're being greedy or anything, they just failed to keep up with the times. Makes sense when you realize who develops it.

the graphics are not really sub par - and I suspect the combat/movement animations are placeholders? I just don't get the game, what are you to do?
     Love you long time!

Are they still clinging on to the card deck combat system? They seem to be clinging on to that as a means to be different for difference sake in the RPG genre. Combat is a huge part of a game, and to be forced into a card deck system for combat would be a game killer for me.

The card deck system is still around and you aren't alone in finding it a game killer.

If they tweaked the combat system, expand gathering/crafting, and made it less money-talks for some things then it might get popular....oh and fix the launcher.
