The City of Titans team has been largely silent the last several months but have come out of hiding with a brand new trailer to give fans something to look forward to until the game becomes playable at the end of 2016. The video provides a look at some combat and how the mechanics of city roaming will be presented in City of Titans.

Interesting, but it still has a loooonngg way to go. It's just too early in production. As Grelf said, it needs some fine tuning.
My thoughts too. It shows good potential. We'll just have to wait and see how it turns out.

Valiance and City of Titans: We discussed it, but they're a pre-existing company with a pre-existing MMO structure, full time people and all. Their plan just didn't fit with us - they're doing a Marvel 2099 cybernetic future thing. We're doing a classic superhero routine. We appreciate each other, but we're just making very different games at the end of the day.
I seriously just wish the Titans team and the Variance team just put their resources together and make the game that they want. Its not like they are making two different superhero games. Sheesh..

warc said it best. They're making separate games because they have different visions for a spiritual successor to CoH. The same is true of 'Heroes and Villains'.

When a singular vision cannot be agreed upon you get differing groups all doing their own thing and the end result of each will have significant deviations. Some differences are desirable to some while not being so to others. An individual just has to pick the one that's right for them in the end.

The background is decent. The model movement was just ok, acceptable.
Speed looks a bit odd without the dynamics, this toggle on/off is more suited for the teleport.
Lately I'm goofing around with a brawler in CO, so it wouldn't be fair to compare the melee, but the AoE seemed "off", as in hitting a much wider range than the animation indicated. The DoT is close to the melee punch, so I guess it will be an ultimate power?
As for the camera shake please allow us an option to turn it off. Many of us suffer from bad headaches and would appreciate the option of turning it off.
