What does KingsIsle Entertainment think about your game's name?

Perhaps a more appropriate question is, what does SOE/Daybreak think of it?  "Wizard Online" is closer to "Wizardry Online" than it is to "Wizard 101".  From the screenshots, I'd think it's more easily mistaken for the former than the latter.

Even so, if a game's title is arguably too close to two different and unrelated games, is it really too close to either?  The real issue is trying to avoid consumer confusion.

Wargaming hasn't yet been sued into oblivion for World of Warships or World of Warplanes (which I typically read as warp-lanes), and that's 2 1/2 words out of 3 matching Blizzard's game.

Wizard Online name is not a registered trademark, the full name on release date is Wizard Online:Shadow of Satan, if the trademark gets registered, we will change the name to Shadow of Satan only, but I doubt that

@Quizzical ;Anyone can make a game called World Of "Something", you can't copyright the phrase "World of" or "Wizard"

This whole thing reeks of fantasyware.  You are are that guy I ran into on a forum a few years back that managed to have a full blown 3d space rpg that was in the 'final stages of development'.  You know the one who was a registered Jedi (as Jedi is now seen as a religion in the UK)? The one who hung around indie game development sites and came up with all of these fabulous games?

If it is you then I would suggest getting some professional help mate, as clearly now you should be far too old for all of this silly nonsense.

For anyone who thinks this is for real,  there are major inconsistencies in every single post the 'developer' has made about this game.  One simple example is that the game is 'Ready for shipping on PC and Mac' yet here you are talking about 'February' beta?  I thought you were gearing up for the PS4 XBone release then (also taken from your game announcement).

I think it  could have some potential, definitely more than most adware games that get posted here.Seems to have the tech behind it which again is more than i can say for most games that look like Nintendo games brought back from 15 years ago.
We will see,i will keep an eye on it when is playable.

If we are talking READY games, how is what Chris Roberts doing any better, that guy has ripped off gamer's for 100 million and already had his own money to make the game he was pitching yet still chose to rip off naive gamer's.

Personally i couldn't care less about Kings Isle, they already lost respect making a kids game that tries to grind money from kids and using a very low end cheap platform to do it.Only positive from KI is their animation team, they do a solid job,the rest is just budget ware  game design.

As to the term Wizard, yeah anyone that knows anything about gaming, would realize that if it were able to copyright,Hasbro/WOTC would have copyrighted the term 20 years ago.Hasbro spends every day trying to convince lawyers they have the right to copyright anything and everything involved with their assets and of course get turned down every time.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

You see that 'dragon' in the seventh image down? That thing would be laughed off the set of the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. Seriously. Though in the original sentai they'd probably use it.

AN' DERE AIN'T NO SUCH FING AS ENUFF DAKKA, YA GROT! Enuff'z more than ya got an' less than too much an' there ain't no such fing as too much dakka. Say dere is, and me Squiggoff'z eatin' tonight!

We are born of the blood. Made men by the blood. Undone by the blood. Our eyes are yet to open. FEAR THE OLD BLOOD.

Throwing Satan in the title... that'll appeal to the MySpace crowd 10 years back.

Why not something that embodies the game itself?

I have a strong and genuine concern every participant in your staff was begotten bereft of creativity. It's as if I'm witnessing the dawn of a fantasy world borne of multiple traumatic brain injuries.

edit: Will most of your npcs have some suffix "lord", as "deathlord", "hivelord", "necrolord", "firelord", "icelord", "ineptitudelord", "Isavedmoneybyswitchingtogeicolord", etc?

@toidimaet ;We've working setup with exe file on Windows 10,8,7. It's not ready for shipping, the shipping build created successfully means .exe file with setup created successfully in technical developers terms. We've post a half min video to of our weapon spawn testing on hand grip/release:

We are seeking people who would share the game, we can't release it like this, as no body really knows about it. I don't know why some people always try to raise big companies like Ubisoft higher and when new game devs appear they just try to destroy with hateful comments.
As I said earlier, you can always play without VR if you don't like it, we've a great combat to offer, also a great looting system, graphics and gameplay. We haven't thought much about the names as we're concerned with integrating technology right now.

@Wizardry ;we are indie nerds that know how to make games, we'll improve with player of course, so thanks for your feedback!

@SinfulChris ;we've been getting crticism about the game name on other places as well, thanks for your feedback.
