image20v20 Guild Battles Coming in Mid-January

Trion Worlds has announced that 20v20 guild battles will be entering Devilian with the mid-January update. Guilds will be able to challenge one another and each Sunday will feature top guilds duking it out for Archgemstones, the top four team each receiving a share.

    I'm pretty mad at myself that I fell for the hype of this game, it looks fun in videos, but once I played for a few hours it was more generic and boring than ever, with weird and even clunky controls/aiming.

    Wasted $150 or whatever it was for a piece of garbage. /sigh
    When all is said and done, more is always said than done.

    Ive been here long enough to be wary of any game MMORPG is hyping at the moment. I dodged the bullet on this one, luckily.

    yep, pretty much - game is conspicuously P2W if you are at all competitive - no surprise with a F2P Trion published game

    There are things you can only get in game, like azaleas (a crafting component for resistance potions ), which I'd gladly spend money on if they sold them on the cash shop, because running a level 30 dungeon  at level 52 to farm these is a waste of time.

    Please trion add this to the cash shop, call this p2w - or whatever,  I'd spend money on it. I feel Trion wimped out with the cash shop in Devilian, I think they need to add a lot more stuff to offer an alternative to the more tedious / time consuming parts of the game.     Yeah it seems like most of the stuff there is cosmetic (mounts, wings, 'stumes, etc.). I'd be okay with more convenience items like that. Either grind lower level dungeons for mats, or drop a few bucks on it. I don't know about others, but for me that doesn't fit my definition of P2W (mines a pretty strict definition: buying an item that gives you a major advantage over others in a PvP/competitive environment). 

    Anyways, I haven't even touched PvP yet (or even joined a guild for that matter), still 26, about to do Profane Monastery. For a F2P ARPG/MMO hybrid I think it's pretty good so far. Combat is pretty solid and the animations are fluid. I've gotten plenty of loot, which for me is the best part of an ARPG. The MMO aspects (questing) is kinda 'meh' but other than that I'm enjoying it. 

    My biggest complaint is that there's no male caster class. I tried playing a Cannoneer, which mechanicaly was pretty fun, but I'm just not big on playing female characters all that much, especially cutesy ones. 

    I am loving my Zerker though. Using Severing Storm and Bladed Whirlwind to play him sort of like a WW Barb from D2/3. Doubt it's anywhere close to the "best" build, but I'm having fun with it. :P

    If they'd sell the stupid azalea flowers I'd buy those in a heartbeat, those normal dungeon runs to farm azaleas suck. 

    I honestly wish this was more p2w, because I'd gladly pay for those damn flowers. 


    Buy DEX with real money...sell for gold...buy gems/mats with gold...get weeks or months ahead of people with max resist and max artifacts (which btw, are magnitudes more powerful than the actual gear you put them into) and rocket your way to number 1 on all the competitive charts since gear>>>>>>>>>skill in this game. The P2W is not in your face, blatant sell gear in the cash shop...it's you know, the way Trion always sneaks P2W into their games.

    by that logic WoW is pay2win, eve is pay2win, eso is pay2win, swtor is pay2win; hell every fucking online game with minimal cash shop is pay2win.

    @DMKano i agree with you that people in this site(and many many many other online gaming sites) are quite ignorant regarding "pay2win" and if it is about Trion then they let all hell break loose but i do not agree that we need wild azalea in cash shop, neither do i agree that we need more convenience than faster mounts and xp+loot+gold boost.

    Damn thats sucks yeah don't run after that hype even for that much. I'm Hype for BDO but not paying $99 for a pack I'm just going cheapo going for the $30 pack . As I didn't give in to Trion on Devilian after few things that I'm not liking in rift with balance problems.

    Well the game failed in Korea, couldnt last for 1 year- piece of garbage. Couldnt hold players interest.
    Well at least those that paid 150 and stopped playing get more respect from me then those that toss 160h+ in this garbage and keep wasting lifetime ( because i value lifetime more then money).

    There will always be balance problem in RIft unless they grow the spine and go back to their plans of making different stats for pvp. They removed pvp gears as part of the 1st step toward new system but then never went for more steps. I am thinking they were making too much money from selling T1 pve gear which became the go to pvp gear for pvp players. It is either money or the Rift team has gradually become incompetent, i myself think it is the 1st one. Well at least we got PvP gear back and now players are gimped to pvp gear stats in pvp instances. But still core problem will not be solved unless they go to what they wanted to do in the 1st place.

    I know any game even rift will have balance problem but when trion do things like nerf one thing then buff some other thing that don't need it at all then I question what the hell their are doing when some thing needed buff in the first place.

    But pvp gear stats can be a problems for people who want open world vs instant games pvp. Got to have reward and how to match the reward for one and other don't end up a big problem and for that gear change they did would of work but Trion just not end up going with it to keeping the playing ground leveled.

    Yeah players are pretty much gimped if they don't raid then in world pvp now and even pvp they are gimped, even for new players if they go in to pvp and they stick it out on getting crush or the new players will just end up finding something new to play.

    SWTOR has more mount is their gambling boxes than trion and they have been doing it since before Trion started .....
