Looking For non-twitch Gameplay Game

IbjaIbja Member UncommonPosts: 25
Hello everyone,

While I play several action based games, like Path of Exile, a little WoW, and various other MMOs, I am looking for a slower paced game to get into.  I was really into Wakfu/Dofus for a while, but the bugs and incredible slow development pushed me away from the game recently.

I have been researching but thought I'd make a post here.  I am interested in playing a game that doesn't always require me to be practicing my reflexes, and is potentially turn based.  I have been playing Summoner's War on my phone recently and really enjoy it, although that game can't just be played all day since you have energy limiting you.  I'd like something I could get into on my computer as well.

Can anyone suggest some games that are turn/strategy based, don't require reflex-based playing, but are still MMOs?

Thank you in advance!

Yap. Try Atlantica Online . I think it will be perfect for you. Turn based MMO .. slow paced ..  some pay to win but only if you are into high lvl pvp in competitions.

EVE Online is about as slow paced as you want it to be. Mining in high security space can be very therapeutic.

Yes, more non-twitch based mmos would be nice.  FFXIV would be another game to look at.  Not twitch based but does have a monthly fee.  Quite often they do have free weekends which let you play up to level 20 so you could get the feel of the game.

Or traumatizing when you get your untanked Retriever blown up the day you buy it.

Yea FF14 , would be a good fit... Great MMORPG , and combat is very manageable with a nice curve , you wont feel overwelmed.. not turn based ... but definitley very manageable

I don't know man, FFXIV can be brutal even at mid level dungeons/primals if you can't move out of the red fast enough.

I can see that to , but i always felt it was pretty easy , particularly if you take the time to watch the fights on You Tube before you do them .. The telegraphs were very recognizbale and easily avoided .. For the most part .. But yea there can be some sticky situations also

Thank you for the responses.  I played FFXIV for a few years and it's not exactly what I am looking for, especially because the endgame is almost entirely twitch based play, although I do enjoy the game greatly, its just not what I am looking to add to my list now.

But I did try a little of Atlantica Online.  I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it yet, but I am going to give it a little time and see where it goes.

You could also try Everquest. This is the most slow-paced mmo I have ever played. Also Anarchy Online, dungeons & dragons online with action based combat, but very tactical so obviously it gives you some time to think.
