Gillian Anderson has a role in Star Citizen: Squadron 42 as Captain McLaren. Last summer, Anderson traveled to London's Imaginarium Studios for some motion capture acting to prepare her character's role. Check it out for some fascinating footage of a work in progress. It's quite cool!

She was excellent in the tv-series Hannibal.
She's an excellent actress. Have you ever seen an interview with her? She comes off a bit "bubbly". But then her movies and tv shows she really gets into character.
Totally agree, said the same thing in the other thread, I guess there's two about this video? She really stood out in Hannibal, which was tough to do since the rest of the cast was so great.
In a word? Yuck.
She's not bad for 50. Back in her X-Files days she was smoking hot. Great actress.

Probably due to acting? Plenty of mo-cap characters looking nothing like the actors behind them.
This is supposed to be a game.
Chris Roberts (IMHO) has forgotten what the game experience is and what gamers want from it.
Hours of cut scene work (costing how much?) translates into a few seconds of time - which many players just find annoying anyway - since it slows them down and cuts into their play time.
And all the great cut scenes in the world, with all the great actors in the world, mean nothing if the game play sucks.
So, as I said, this is supposed to be a game. There is already another game covering the same genre, which is playable. It doesn't have lots of cut scenes, voice acting or anything like that. But it is playable and new features are being developed and added. Meanwhile - it's playable.
Star Citizen is in danger of becoming obsolete before it is even released.
Nothing says irony like spelling ideot wrong.
She may be a great actor - they all might be ... but so what?

Or perhaps the Squadron 42 story with voice acting ala Wing Commander (which this story style is trying emulate ... you know, popular ass games from long before your memory apparently that also had big name actors AND some of the same on board with this game ... like OMG coincidence! /valleygirl accent off) was promised in KS. It doesn't matter if the game can exist without it or not. It is something they wanted to develop as part of their game from the beginning (and voted for by KS pledge $$$). What other games have or don't have is irrelevant.
You stay sassy!

Those aren't cut scenes. That is what is going on around you as you play.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move. - Douglas Adams
Yes, a game with one of the crowdfunding Stretch Goals being : High class actors playing SQ42 characters via mocap and voice acting
*** gasp *** They are doing what the backers paid them for ! *** shocking *** How could that have happened ?!1!?1!
And BTW these are not cutscenes .... they have shot so many sequences because all those actors react to you as a player during your normal gameplay.
Have fun
Look, if you're an employee, just say so, it's fine. What pisses people off is when you're acting like a fan but you're paid by the company. Why don't you just come clean. You'll feel better about yourself and we'll think better of you.

Was a comment on her acting chops, not her appearance. She's still pretty cute. I thought she was foxy in X-Files, but her performance always irked the crap outta me.
