Which game should I choose?

I have the biggest urge to get either FFXI or WoW. I just cant decide which to get. I have friends on both too. I just don't know which.image

It really comes down to what kind of a player you are. If your new to mmorpgs, then go with wow, however if you want a bigger challenge then get ffxi.

EDIT: You can get ffxi really cheap so I would recommend get it to just try the free month.

If you want PvE, go get FFXI. If you want PvP, go get WoW.

If you want max level in about a month, get WoW. If you want to work forever on getting max level but feel better about getting it, get FFXI.

Ya thats true i think i am going to get FFXI because my best friend has it and i play it a lot. Its fun and i would probably get bored if i maxed out in a month. plus i want to get better at fishing than him. he is a fishing nerd.

FFXI has smaller servers and people tend to know each other on them and sooo.. people don't talk a buncha shit on there like they do on WoW.. If they do then they wont advance as far as people will stop inviting them to party. Asshats don't advance as well on FFXI.

In my experiences people are nicer in FFXI and FFXI is harder, but WoW is more popular and bigger. Ive never seen my server fill up either on FFXI, a friend of mine played wow and his server was consistently full.

But really, play what you think will be fun, play what your friends play.

When a server says full, it isn't really full. Queues to log into a server are created to manage a large volume of players simply trying to log in. You're not waiting for players to leave the server and a spot to open up so you can jump in, just waiting for their slug slow log in servers to process the requests one-by-one so they're not inundated with connections which leads to crashing and even more angry players.

Um...no. There are set limits on the realms to prevent the servers from crashing.

I've played for maybe 2 years and never seen FFXI cap out. I am on Remora though and I hear it is an underpopulated server.
