well hy to all.ihave been trying wow,daoc,everquest1,everquest 2.

everquest 1 dont know how people can love that game ...anyway im tempted to buy daoc.wich class is the best solo?

    Albion Necromancer is the best solo class.  Not the best in PvP though.

    Dunno... Mid bonedancer isn't a bad solo class either and they kick ass in Battlegrounds :). Nor is the hibbie Warden.

    ok i started when daoc just started so i guess theres new classes to choose from(vampire??) for solo

    It really depends on your playstyle and goals. But if you play Hib,

    1. Vamp - best solo class in the game. You will never need to group except to do ML and some Circle of 5.
    2. Animists - once you get the hang of it, you can just sit back and let the XP roll in. It is easier with a bot because of PF or powersong, but it does well on its own.
    3. Mana Chanters - pets and PbAoE
    4. Light ment - can charm pets and DoT
    5. Void Eld - w/ 2 bolts, base line stun and baseline DD you can farm ojs pretty constantly. If a bolt misses or resists simply use stun and nuke and/or run.

     im about to start my game on daoc and to solo i guess vampiir is the best? but is vampiir a vampire?? like dracula cause i cant seem to find it in the class( the little book of instruction).what is this character class do? cause if this class is the best to get all the way being solo thenn ill take it.

    A vamp is something between a light tank and a caster.
    He wields a piercing weapon with his mainhaind, while the offhand is used to cast certain spells. The mana for that comes from melee dmg a vamp inflicts on his target (you might want to see it as "sucking blood"). You usually have a base amount of mana (depending on your strenght value, but around 14%, usually), which increases the more dmg you deal.
    With this mana you can cast various spells - including a direct dmg (heat based), a heal-over-time, endurance-drain, combat speed etc. With proper equipment and the right mobs (up to orange-con) you will never have any downtime, if you use your endurance drain and heal-over-time once in a while.

    A good spec to start with would be piercing ~ your own level, rest shadowmastery. A good RvR spec for lvl 50 would be 43 piercing, 38 Shadowmastery, 34 Vampiric embrace (but start with piercing/shadowmastery first - much better for solo PvE)

    thak you to all iguess vampiir is the way to go for solo lonnng time.is there another class thats the same thing for solo long time?no more question after thank you.

    no, nothing compares to vamp when it comes to soloabilities in *both* RvR and PvE. Necromancer is a pretty good solo class, but mainly for PvE

    Also, dont know if you do or not.. best servers to start back on would be either the ToA (Merlin or Lancelot) Servers or the Classic server of Gareth. Even though you still want to solo, its good to see people chat now and then in the game. image
