so he makes a game Oblivion and then copies it 4 times oblivion>fallout 3-which came from Interplay>Skyrim>fallout 4. feels more like a car manufacturer that improves the prior model. if he were to make a successful first person shooter or racing game that rose to accolades I might be more impressed.

Too bad FO4 was crappy, and got destroyed by Witcher3

Good for him, I think he deserves it, they don't only make games, they offer players a world to do what they want in and the tools to do whatever you want with. Even as far as making your own game from their own. Something less and less studios are offering in this day and age.

Yeah, I have to say I agree.

I played the heck out of Oblivion, over 2 years, and I still play and mod skyrim.

How many games out there have compelled me to devote so much time? Not that many.

Here's to the next Elder Scrolls game!

Same here, actually just started up Oblivion again since it's been so long, after playing FO3/NV a bit recently, I was expecting it to feel as archaic, it doesn't, pleasantly surprised about that. :)

What about The Switcher 3, how come he couldn't beat out The Switcher Three? Huge failure in terms of game development success not to beat out the witcher three, which I said three times now.

Good for Todd. I loved his E3 presentation last year, he's super off the cuff and doesn't act like a company man.

TW3 and FO4 are two very different games. TW3 was by far better fleshed out in terms of world building than FO4 was. Not to mention that fantasy based games still seem to be far more popular than sci-fi games when it comes to rpgs. FO4 is a good game, but it doesn't suck you in like Skyrim did.

This man creates worlds. There isn't many of those left. He sure does deserve the appreciation. I personally prefer him to try a new IP on his next project.

good for him. His ideas about gaming really opened up things for the culture and brought open world games to the front of mainstream gaming culture. We owe the guy a lot. Met him at E-3 here in los angeles last year, really nice guy.

So let me get this straight... a racist, right wing bigot known for dodgy dealings, who made one game and copied it over and over and over again, is going to get a lifetime achievement award from an organisation no one has ever heard of or cares about? WOOOO.

Have to disagree, The only thing Witcher 3 did better was narrative (pity the story wasn't that good). Fallout 4 beats it in world design, character customization and combat, the RPG elements.

What's a Fallout? I think you should avoid oblivion. Where am I? Why are you communicating to me through my son's looky glass? @InkedDarren
