Are you currently playing an good MMOG, or are you searching for an MMOG to play? I'm between games myself.

Searching/waiting for new ones.
When people will pay others to play a game for them it might be a sign the game isn't all that fun.
On the hunt, WoW bored me months ago. Seed I may try as its a completely different concept. Pirates of the burning sea ive had my eye on for a while.
I wanna avoid the fantacy genre but all this talk about vanguard recently has got me curious
Why would I bother with these forums if I had a half-decent game to play :P
When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world.

Currently waiting on my copy of the latest potential dissapointment in a long line of dissapointments since UO year 1 (the pinnacle of online gaming so far), DDO.
Who knows I might be pleasantly surprised. Im not getting my hopes up.

The last time I played a MMOG was 16 months ago.
Their's really no point in searching for one ATM; there won't be anything decent 'till 2010!

wow them poll results are hugely one sided...at the time of writing 80% of the mmo fans who answered the poll arnt even playing an mmo and are instead just searching. am i right in saying everyone has had enough of the clones and gutless games that are currently being spewed out?? id like to think that the 80% who are searching are fed up and have a mindset familiar to my own in that they want sandbox player content and wont settle for being drafted into what devs will alow you to do or not do

Playing CSS right now. Used to play World of Raidcraft. Was in transition phase with gaming abstinence syndrome for about 3 weeks.
That just about sums it up.
On the matter of wanting a "sandbox" type of game my answer is: yes, but 50% sandbox, 50% developer. You see the whole idea of the sandbox has been pushed by the developers themselves because they are, by far, the primary beneficiaries of such an arrangement. Unfortunately, players aren't worth a damn at creating enjoyable content...if they were they would be making lots of money working for developers.
Now, on the matter of developers drafting players...Publishers and developers are molding the market to suite themselves. The ideas of "sandbox", "permadeath", "purging", that it's not cool to want good graphics, etc., have all come from developers. Each and everyone of these ideas are highly desirable and benefical too developers/publishers as they save them huge amounts of time and effort, and therefore money.
So whether you guys (I'm not pointing my finger at everybody here) like it or not, you are being manipulated, "molded", to serve the ends of the greedy! Luckily for the rest of us, there's a massive wave of older, and more importantly, wiser, MMOGamers coming into the market; gamers who aren't so easily duped.
im still searching for a good MMORPG, i've got a few of the beta games, theres a few that look good but arent open public yet, i think there will some decent games to play once the beta's open up, most of them look very promising

because im sure alot of people are like me, im playing RF Online right now, but no way in hell im staying on it if/when a decent new game comes out. just a time killer.
I couldn't answer the poll cuz I'm sorta doing both.
Playing WoW for my fantasy fix, but waiting for something better.
Just started playing Eve to see if that might be the 'something better.' I shied away from it for a long time only because I wasn't interested in a sci-fi game, but I've changed my mind on that part.
Searching but waiting for new Freeworld and any MMO that is planning to have Open FFA PvP.
