    These threads are embarassing. Its hard to believe grown men and women can be so hateful. Its fine if you think its a scam. But when you go through your post history and you see vast majority of your posts are bashing someone else, it's time to reflect.

    This must be a very odd thing in western culture but in eastern culture it is a tradition that all the employees get together once a year to reevaluate the condition of office space and then together they fix and redecorate anything that needs it. It is not just chinese or japanese or koreans who do it but also here in Bangladesh it is a very acceptable culture. It is also a chance for highers ups to show their special skills to their underlings and these days it is not enough they just do it, now they take selfie; make videos and share it on facebook; twitter and any social media. Judging by how you guys are reacting i guess a senior product manager or senior officer showing creativity in redecorating office is completely unacceptable practice in western culture. Sometimes i think i am lucky that i was not born in "highly educated and advanced" 1st world western countries.

    Generally people don't have a problem with a company spending money making their offices look pretty when it's money they earned from released products. When it's backer money they promised would only be used on the game I don't think having a concept artist design wallpaper is a good use of backer funds

    But he is supervised by the Senior Producer in charge of making the offices pretty.

    Then ask for a refund [mod edit].  And that goes for the rest of you that don't like it, just take your money and get out, simple as that.  As for me, I'm letting my "donation" ride.

    [mod edit]

    I never pledged to begin with. I was debating it during the Kickstarter but something was alarming in my head. If I did back it I would have backed out long ago.

    As the recent leaked letter put it so succinctly, Roberts has no sense of scale, the shoelaces are as important as getting the ship engines working right.  So making the office pretty might be as important to him as getting the game engine to support more than 16 in an instance.  From the current marketing perspective, he might be right.

    Also, Senior Guy in Charge of X might just be a yes man.  Making the office pretty might be what they're best at!  Or conversely they might be  someone who had the temerity to disagree with Emperor Roberts and is being given punishment duty.

    If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.

    "Oho!" said the pot to the kettle;
    "You are dirty and ugly and black!
    Sure no one would think you were metal,
    Except when you're given a crack."

    "Not so! not so!" kettle said to the pot;
    "'Tis your own dirty image you see;
    For I am so clean – without blemish or blot –
    That your blackness is mirrored in me."

    Been along time hearing that poem. Always liked it. But today it would not be PC.
