Controller support is my favorite update they have done since the game launched. If they wont port it to PS4 at least i can play with the controls i want.
Let this be a lesson to other developers that isometric and diablo-like games work flawlessly with gamepads. The idea that those games only worked with point and click has been both archaic and absurd since the beginning of the genre. The more options the better for everyone.
If Grinding Gear Games do the same with Path of Exile i would come back in an instant.
Sadly despite their so called "Hype" this has been a major rebrand FLOP.
Deadpool 52 review is MONTHS late (the rebrand is as well)
Black Cat is another in a LONG line of characters that break rules Gaz has made previously and seems to include a large copy and paste from powers others characters have, no true implementation of a so called "Cool Trap Mechanic"
The new content lasts all of 10 minutes.
Still no Red Raid AXIS
Balance is all but forgotten when some characters can dish out DPS at over double that of other characters.
Item budgets do not exist.
The game started a mess, got really good then pigeon holed itself and has been going south ever since.
Is that "bang" pushing back tuning to the last 4 heroes again? Or still no Red Axis? Or still no team up synergies? Or is it the abysmal drop rates?
They have definitely been late on a lot of things over the past year or so (and I've written about this), but I feel that now that this big update is out of the way it should free them up to be more nimble on other initiatives. That's just my thinking, though. Luckily, we're in the process of scheduling an AMA, so you'll be able to ask them soon!
I imagine a lot of the delays and problems they've been having has been due to the exodus of some the talent at Gazillion. Brevik and Doomsaw (can't remember his real name) come to mind.

How many chances should people give them? They ran through every ounce of good will they gained early last year with the fail state the last 4 heroes released. And still nothing to fix what they've already sold us. Took them over a year to push out Danger Room, and it was lackluster. But, I'm super glad they gave us 30 minutes of story content to play through, and perfect hair for Jean.
I'm sure there will be yet another rallying cry echoed by the devs, but until they actually start working on polishing their product rather than rushing out half baked heroes, it will be hallow. Which is a shame, the game has incredible potential.

the rebrand is/was only one month late. . .maybe 5 weeks at the most.
Magik, and Iron Fist were two solid releases in both design and power level, but that is just my opinion
I am also curious what self imposed rules Gaz broke in the design of B. Cat
without access to the metric data that Gaz has in regards to power-level, I will believe them when they say that player perception of a hero/villain's "OPness" is usually much different than what they see. Indeed The great M. Mayhem talked about this topic in detail in the 6 hour twitch stream they recently did.
Item budgets do exist, they just treat the budget like the US government does. . .
everything else I do agree with.
I also am encouraged for the time being in the fact that they stopped with their 1 new character a month cadence to 7 for the entire year ( with maybe a surprise 200es release) to, as they say, tighten up and/or resolve various longstanding issues and release more non-character content.
time will tell if they follow through and we see a discernible difference
Controller is non usable for me.
IDK what is going on with it but when i asked in game i got a ton of 12 year old kiddie responses.
What happens is forward movement on controller makes you move backwards and vice versa it is super frustrating ,like some Airplane simulator.I tried everything to reverse it and couldn't figure it out.
I know it uses Unreal engine and the same .ini files but i couldn't seem to get it to change in game. Then i read several forums on several issues surrounding the controller ,Gazillion response seemed VERY lazy, basically we don't have the time or resources to do anymore.Instead i noticed a couple users/players were making files/scripts to make the controller easier to navigate use,too bad gazillion doesn't want to do it.
Also the maps are incredibly linear, questing just has you follow those super linear paths, they need to open the game up more and lose the locked camera that is super annoying as well.Honestly this is a real cheap effort using such a famous IP brand name. This looks more like a game released during the early console years, not like a PC game in 2015.
Perfect example,we have that Batman Arkham knights game,it makes this game look like a bunch of kids made it.Arkham knights is a very high quality game using a popular brand, that is the way it is suppose to be done.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

Couldnt have said it better myself. The game is shit. I strongly feel that when Gaz employee's are at work they work for maybe 2 hours of the day and the rest they just sit back and chill at work. This new content was bs and could have all been done in a week. Gaz employee's dont like to work and their work ethic is poor and it shows in the content they release. Their CEO has gone because he knew the game was shit. Some mod named Agentfexion literally banns people from the forum on the slightest whim.
He some nerd who never had any power now he has some responsibility and he misuses it. I mean what an idiot. Why would you ban people from the game for writing comments on the forum? He alone probably turned many people away from the game. The poor content they implement...lol This game is dieing. Marvel fans had high hopes for a Marvel game but gazillion has failed miserably. Marvel Heroes 2016 days are now numbered.

It is weird you get inverted controls, i just plugged in mine and it works perfectly fine. How can you compare Batman Arkham Knight with a diablo like game? Arkham on PC was a terrible disaster not worth a penny, but its still not the same type of game. I would totally play a Marvel game that playes like Batman, but not compare it with an isometric game in any way. Also, You say Marvel Heroes look like its from the early console years? well Diablo 3 looks exactly like that so.....
I would like more varied content, thats for sure.
EDIT: Talking about console, One thing is for sure... Looking at steamcharts, Marvel Peaks at 5k players with average of less than 2k. Unless they port it to consoles and massively expand the target audience, this game will probably shut down in the not so distant future.
Honestly, they need to can the release of new heroes this year. The line-up itself is lackluster anyway. There are far, FAR too many issues with the game to be focusing on new characters.
The '52 review' process was a great idea, and sorely needed. The problem is, they took so long to do it that power creep with the new characters has rendered half of those 'reviews' irrelevant. They NEED, repeat, NEED to focus on going back through and balancing things out. They don't need to update playstyles or create new skills, or anything like that, but numbers need to be brought in line. They need to figure out a baseline of sorts, bring EVERY hero up to it, then make adjustments based on the intended role(s) of the characters.
Up until about the middle of last year, I'd put about 1K hours into the game. But balance issues and power creep have just completely killed my enthusiasm for it. The fact that Diablo 3 has been nothing but uphill since LoD, combined with the release of several strong ARPGs and the impending release of at least one more (Inquisitor: Martyr, possibly Goliath) gives me even less incentive to log in.
Sucks that they brought this game so damn far, only to slowly nullify all the good that they've done. I really hope they get their shit together. It's still a very good game overall, especially for free, but the competition is really heating up. If Gazillion doesn't bring their 'A' game in 2016, then I don't see it lasting much past 2017.
As for Steam numbers, people need to remember that the majority of players use the proprietary client. This has been confirmed by Gaz on several occasions, but I'm too lazy to go look up a link right now. I'll take a look if I don't forget and update with one though.
AN' DERE AIN'T NO SUCH FING AS ENUFF DAKKA, YA GROT! Enuff'z more than ya got an' less than too much an' there ain't no such fing as too much dakka. Say dere is, and me Squiggoff'z eatin' tonight!

I think you miss the point of the game. Do you know how many Marvel Characters there are? There are hundreds. Releasing a character every month was there niche and what made it stand out from every other game. The issue is the players who request more content rather than heroes. People who are not really marvel fans or read comic books don't really get how vast the marvel heroes roster is. Releasing a hero every month was a good idea.
The point is to get the hero in the game. They can always go back later and update the character if the game-play of the character is lacking. But this idea was unacceptable to the player base who largely are not marvel fans and don't know much about the marvel universe. The game was intended to be played by people who are fans. But the people who are not fans and don't know about marvel characters, are the one's that complain about the release of 1 hero every month. From a comic book fan perspective this was a good idea. From a non-comic book fan this is a bad idea since they don't even know who the characters are in the first place.
Getting to play so many different characters adds a lot of replay value. Because you read about these guys story in comic books. But if you don't know who the character is or their relation to other characters you wont care about them. Therefore you wont play as them, you will just stick to the few characters you know and like, so you have reduced your replay value. Leveling each character and gearing them up takes time.
