Hello ,
As far as I heard, there is no trade between players and on the auction house, one cannot simply add their desire price. You are limited to a set price which is determined by devs mostly, depending on the supply and demand.
If that's true, I may reconsider playing this game or not. "Free Market" and trade between players is a part of an MMO.
If this is to combat the gold sellers, then is a cheap attempt.

The auction house does not actually bother me as much as I have seen AH economies ruined by GSers. I believe the prices of the market can still change with in the system itself and they do give you a price "range" to set it at. Not just 1 default price if I am not mistaken.
The AH is regulated, so you cant put a 10 silver item up for 10 million, and collect the money.
About the AH , really? I mean .. is like we are living in a communism era. They tell us how much we should ask for our items. I mean, they don't just tell us, they are actually enforce us.
And all of this because some players knows how to "play the AH" , and because of them ( and gold sellers ) they are making all players to follow their bad rules and decisions and actually hurting some of the most important aspects of an MMO.

The games focus is GvG, not playing the AH. Theres many game out there to do that!
Anyway, it's not a minor inconvenience ! Trades between players and AH are a key part in a MMO.
PS: Salut

I can't remember the last time I traded one on one with someone since AH came to be (EQ, early WoW?).
However I can't count the number of in-game emails/whispers or just general spam I've had to ignore of 3rd parties selling their goods.
Gold sellers/bots are typically the ones hijacking accounts and doing shady stuff, not to mention whatever actual impact they have on an economy.
While I wouldn't mind guild trading, I really don't miss it at all in BDO. If I need something I can find it for X price on the market and if I need to sell something, I sell it for Y price. Very simple.
While it removes the ability to game the economy which some love, they have so many other ways to make money with or around the market that it isn't an issue for me.
Don't like it? Your loss. I'll enjoy my non-free trade communist market free of gold seller spam and annoyance.
Gold sellers are not doing any harm to any game, hackers yes ( but there are solutions to make the account unbreakable) , bots yes ( again solutions anti bots exists) , as long is not a free game ( yes gold sellers are an issue in F2P games) I don't see any harm .
And now from my perspective, I'm a good gamer , due to my job I often find myself in a situation when I can play for like 8 hours/day daily , my wife on the other hand is playing like 2-3 hours/week but we enjoy playing together so in any game I was providing her with best gear and everything necessary to make the game enjoyable for her , so I'm like a gold seller who gives gold for free to only one customer , I have also friends who might join the game at a later time, how can I help them, but with gold and gear , I don't understand what is with all this restriction in a Pay to play game ...........ffs I got bored writing this , anyway got the point this is not the game for me , enjoy the game guys
We're still going to play, but if the no trade thing doesn't work, we and many others will quickly abandon the game.
What is not to like.
Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...
Aren't there plenty of alternatives available for those players though? I for one am interested in at least trying this and seeing how it pans out.
Not going to knock it until I try it.
It has its pros and cons so we will just have to see.
Makes you wonder though..with systems in place like this shitty no-trade and might as well mention the energy leash (ala AA's labor system) why games lose many players that early in it's release...
We've seen this with tradeable RMA currency.
We've seen RMA Auction houses.
Now from what I understand this games auction house will be standardized.
It will either pass, fail, or adapt.
I for one am in favor of it as you can actually play the game instead of the auction house. This also stabilizes the market place.
Socialism meets gaming.
What are your other Hobbies?
Gaming is Dirt Cheap compared to this...
