I just want to chop those trees down and build a defense line along the bottom of the hill!

It's a screen shot not a video. I just wanted to add that this game is sill very much in development and if you would like to know more please check out : https://youtube.com/channel/UCOp8ZYQQyoBw-SIHixlIuUw and watch BicycleWalrus' videos they are very informative.

Hate to be a downer(nor really), but the ground is way too pretty and flat to be a convincing forest. There should leaves, pine needles, branches and bushes all over the ground.

    Anyway, looks nice I guess.

Hmm, maybe that's my problem with it, it all looks eerily unnatural.

Not a downer at all. It's still a work in progress to our understanding.

Even though I would not play this game as I dislike its systems I love the look of it.

Foliage is a bit poor and the trees are a bit out of place, buuuuuuuuuuuut it looks really really nice for a pre-alpha shot and with some more time and polish its going to be fantastic in my opinion.

i can imagine myself lurking around those woods, exploring that town on the hill. i can't wait to get my hands on the game.

I knew there was something off about it. Anyone that lives near a forest with lots of pine knows that there is little to no grass on the forest floor. It is covered in needles and pine cones and broken off limbs.

Looks nice but if they want people to be immersed in the world they have to take it a step further and do all the little things that bring it all together. A forest with green grass everywhere isn't it.

    You mean like this:

We're still a couple months out from even the playable demo, but this is what we've achieved with just one environment artist and one technical artist. Imagine what we could achieve with a fully funded team.
