Here we go with my list, what to do before launch..
So far i made one decision, i will not rush my first character to max level, seems rushing a first fammily member to max level and then slowly opening up the rest of the world with other fammily members is what most will do. I personally will stick to my first as much as possible and enjoy what the world has to offer. I have never been a powerleveler.
The game is deep, i figured out most game mechanics in the beta... and know what to expect, yet there are many Questions lingereing in my mind that i will need to read up on in some guides.
-Can i do remote trading, i.e. setting up trade routes with carts while at a remote location
-how much of my crafting and trade emperium can be automated
-How do i get a pet witouth using pearls .. can i catch them, are they drops, or are they auctionhouse and pearlshop only?
-Where do i get ropes to catch a horse and whats the best spot to find them..
-What Nodes should i start out with (only the area up to Heidel) to get my trade company going. WHat Nodes got what goods...
And many other questions..
I also need to figure out on my main, i normally only play male characters, but in this game i mostly like Valkyrie, Tamer and espescially Soerceres which are all Ladies. There is also Witch/Wizard which is incredibly powerfull at lower levels, but has less interaction between ths skills(combo's) then vAlkyrie or sorceress. For now i think i will stick with sorceres, hoping that the ranged skills will get a little better if i get more..
- I still need a good grasp of how the combo system works. Maybe a guide of some sorts.
-And then figure out what skills to use from the numeric buttons (i got a naga), or should i entirely leave them for potions and other stuff? I used some nummerical skills on my Wizzard and some worked good.. others a little less.
But then i am mostly set for a fun ride into a new world, allready..

Now the long countdown to next week starts. Well... I can waste more time on the beta... but at this point it's pretty much wasting time as it'll all be wiped anyway. Better save some of that enthusiasm for launch.
My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)

To my knowledge, no. You are the trader yourself and you need to pilot that cart yourself.
-how much of my crafting and trade emperium can be automated
Crafting can be automated if you buy a corresponding workshop and assign workers to it. Trade is not automated at all as far as I know.
-How do i get a pet witouth using pearls .. can i catch them, are they drops, or are they auctionhouse and pearlshop only?
Pet is currently only available from the cash shop. And it's the one item I recommend you buy 3 of. The autolooting these do is really really convinient. Not p2w though, just really sweet to have.
-Where do i get ropes to catch a horse and whats the best spot to find them..
You can buy a rope from a stable vendor, or there's a quest pretty early on that teaches you the ropes (lol) and rewards you with what you need to catch your first horse (they are cheap to buy though, so I'd recommend buying your first horse, unless you plan on getting into the horse breeding market). The best spot to find a horse is where noone else is hunting for them, really. That said it's hard to say where you should go. A rule of thumb is far away from human settlements and close to mountains.
-What Nodes should i start out with (only the area up to Heidel) to get my trade company going. WHat Nodes got what goods...
The thing with nodes is you won't be able to get them all early on, you will be contrinution point starved. Choose and area between two decent sized towns, that way you can run back and forth to trade AND set up workers to go gather at the nearby farms. When you move on in the world you might want to change, so remember to withdraw your contribution from routes you aren't currently (long term currently) using.
A good start imo is to get a town with many potato farms nearby so you get a steady stream of potatoes to make beer of. The beer is used to replenish your workers energy, so I feel a steady stream of beer is essential in a well oiled worker company!:P
Keep on spamming this nonsense...
Noboddy takes you serious if you dont come up with any real arguments, so far the Webshop is everything but pay to win and unnecessary to have a good ingame experience and compete at the highest level.
Maybe your posts influence those that havent played the game, but not people that actually where in beta nad have made up their mind based on their own opinion.
Now hush away and hide under a stone wayting for the next game release.. I am getting tired of people posting insinuations with any real arguments to back them up.

I think your approach is really good, and I'll be doing something similar. I've also heard it's good to not use your horse early game as you need to build stamina. So I think i'll be doing a lot of walking, lol.
I'm still playing this beta. Save your emotions for the guild pvp, at least you won't be alone there with the high testosterone.
Now about that cash shop.........
I gave the beta a try and pre-ordered. Some of the systems sound interesting, so I figured why not.
The whole experience felt very overwhelming though.
75% of my screen was covered in unnecessary clutter. I could barely focus on what is going on.
But you got to admit that was pretty funny, true or not......
as they say, its highly customizable..
