A new developer blog penned by Senior Story Designer Gary Astleford has been published on the WildStar site to give players an in-depth look at Arcterra, the newest zone headed to the game soon. Arcterra will feature deep lore and two new factions, Operation: White Storm for Dominion or The Arcterra Expedition for Exile. In addition, there are dynamic events running nearly constantly across the zone that can include any number of activities to complete.

They would need to do allot of work on the combat to get me to come back. I just uninstalled this one a few days ago. Fair well WS.

Alot of this stuff looks like the things one encounters in some of the wings of DS, now that ive actually dont play this game anymore (nor raid) i may comeback to check out the zone w/o raiding obligations....well see.

That new zone looks nice - one day when I'm bored I'll log in and zoom around on my hoverboard to look at it for a few minutes...regular play is just not worth the effort in that game though, sadly - way too many systems problems that either were never corrected or made worse over time (like the convoluted and ridiculous Rune system.)

I just could not handle how long it would take Carbine to fix or even address major issues (primarily PVP ones, but other bugs too). I will admit it is not marketed to me. I am not a raider and do not like cartoon style graphics, but I loved the difficulty of the leveling content. I like open world pvp when I level, because it breaks up the monotony (no I am not a ganker). Though I wished for some OWPVP, the greater difficulty of mobs made it much more paletable. Also, I enjoyed the humor quite a bit.

Was not a huge fan of the combat. It was fun, but I found myself looking at the ground too much and unless you turn off some telegraphs, it becomes a hot mess in PVP and some group content.

    hmmm, they wont.

lets be realistic here for a minute. it takes a player base to pvp= wildstar dosnt have one for pvp, sadly not big enough to bring back what the game once had upon launch or predicted- and so much time has passed- it wont bring back any players to pvp in this game again the mmo market is constantly evolving and players either stay or move- and well, wildstar is pretty much a 'distant' planet to pvprs...

I agree. I do not have any faith in Carbine, so it would have to be some pretty impressive changes for me to consider giving it another shot for the PVE or PVP. OWPVP will never be a thing in this game and that is fine. It just is not a game for me. I guess my main point was without any OWPVP, I did find the mob difficulty while leveling to make it less mundane.
