Will this game be an acceptable Darkfall replacement?

Hey guys,

I used to play a lot of DF & DF:UW, and my favorite thing to do was solo roaming or roaming in groups of 2-6. We'd just travel around, fight over village caps or visit cities and draw clans out to fight for their gear.

Visiting a village would always be a nice adrenaline boost as we sneaked up on it and counted how many enemies were there without letting them spot us. Same with cities, you'd try to circle the city to get an idea of how many were in there, listening for the sounds of duels and people running around inside.
  1. Is there anything like that in this game?
  2. How does the GvG flagging work, can I just have a 4 man guild and declare war on people I see running around so I can fight them without going red?
  3. Ex DF & DF:UW players, are you liking this game and why this over DF/DF:UW (apart from the fact that it's dead)
Thanks for reading and any feedback I get!

    1. I really really like Black Desert. But the kind of pvp you're talking of won't really be commonplace in BDO. Yes, Open world pvp is essentially free for all. But there's a hefty penatly. If you're ok with becoming red you can attack anything, sure. When the update Valencia arrives, you'll even have your own bandit city!

    2. Your guild can declare war on five other guilds. It costs money (150k silver, really rather cheap). But you can't just go around declaring war on whomever you see.

    3. Did not play enough DF. Too much unpenalized pvp for my tastes.

Wish I could help you more in the DF department, I never did play to any substantial degree. However, there will more than likely be guest passes floating around at launch. Ask around, try the game for yourself.
