Aeria Games has announced that Scarlet Blade will be shutting down for good on March 31st. More than a few technical issues have plagued the game over the past year or so that have resulted in server instability, no content updates and rollbacks that have negatively affected the game's community.

    I had fun in Echo of Soul's PvP Arena for a small while.

    Played Scarlet Blade once and it was terrible. Surprised it lasted this long. I guess Blade and Soul was the nail on the coffin, since that game is actually good on top of having sexy outfits/characters. Scarlet Blade was just so perverted and stupid, it had no class or shame.
    Now Playing: Bless / Summoners War
    Looking forward to: Crowfall / Lost Ark / Black Desert Mobile

    I can not imagine what the playerbase for this game was like. What kind of person wants to play a soft-porn bouncy bewb game for a long time? Young boys and old pervs, both of which are not the most lucrative of markets.

    Even bewbs can not save a game with poor content

    I must have been very tolerable back in the day because i put in a lot of hours playing a few Aeria games.However it jaded me because i have never wanted to go back to that type of mindless gaming and the cash shops,...i hate cash shop gaming.Point being i have not wanted to even look at Aeria games since about wow idk 7-8 years ago or so.
    Their support although active were very inept,sadly it was trhe player base often coming up with fixes that the publisher had no idea what they were doing.This is the problem with publishers,they simply sign a contract and all dealings after the fact have to go through that middle man to get back to some Korean developer,so your never communicating with the actual developer.

    Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

    The game was terrible to say the least, 1st of all they aped the name of a popular mature ecchi manga/anime. 2nd, the game featured 2 faction but both faction had the same story, same starting location, same quests and same areas; apart from being on 2 different bases in pvp maps there was no difference between 2 faction in game; they were just divided by phasing on open world. 3rd, combat was copy paste of developers 1st game and was pretty crap, locking players in animation until the ability hit enemies. 4th, pvp maps were copy pasted from developers previous game, only the aesthetics were changed, apart from that objectives and play style were same as their 1st game. 5th, scarlet blade ultimate form is just another copied version of dragon form of the developers 1st game. I don't think i need to say anymore about this sleazy rip off.

    Does anyone notice the irony in inviting players to try one of their other mmo while shutting down the other?

    I mean, who in their right mind will inject cash in such a volatile company?

    Always thought this website was very hypocrite towards this game. Instead of just judging it on gameplay (which I agree is totally shit), they focused in their review mainly on sexualized characters. Which is the case for most MMO's.

    But yeah, BnS is so much more sophisticated :p No sexualised toons at all!

    Never played the game but from what saw it was a bit too much for me. And i am a big boob guy. The devs just focused on sexuality to sell their game. they took it from the idea sex sells. lol i have always had the idea if the game has a boobs slider i would at least download it and check it out. But this game I never bother to download it. It just looked like it was no good. Sexy female characters will get people download the game but the game has to has substance to keep them playing.

    I played this game at launch. Disregard all the immature thematic with the soft porn shit, and focus on the game. The PvP side of it was actually one of the best I tried. The factions dispute for world bosses, the BGs, the clan fights, and the contested areas brought some of the best pvp experiences I had in a game. And trust me, I already played alot of similar games.

    Anyway, it eventually came the true face of the game, just another MMO ready to be milked the shit out of a P2W cash shop, with no chance for the regular player. Thus I left it. But still, a great PVP experience.

    Not everyone who plays games are perverted. I am a 58 year old mom and I kind of liked the game. It was fun and I spent a little bit of money on it mostly for the pets. It was okay. I am an Alt-oholic so I basically made lots of characters and only got to 18 as my highest level. Fun Barbie Dress up game :) It can go away now.

    Venus rising is a sandbox game with nudity, nudity is not it's main feature, where as Scarlet Blade/Queens blade was trying to get money for boobs without any proper gameplay. Hey i love boobs but this game was just stupid and was totally implying "hey look at boobs!!! and give money!!", pathetic.
