- IMHO this site MMORPG.com is a very NICE site. But it is not as well known as say... Stratics.
Or other more well known game sites. More word has to get out about this site.
- MicroCrap owns Turbine. They've been mismanaging what was once a nice "mom and pop" gaming company. Turbine is falling apart. MicroSoft, a billion dollar company barely invests anything into AC (or AC2 while it was being made.). Sad and pathetic. They are now suffereing the consequences of their blatant penny pinching.
- As AC is being gradually killed off, less people play. Less NEW people play. Less people to post.
- Also someone mentioned in one of the former posts, that the main sign-up sight as MSN.com is very hard to navigate. I AGREE! It took me 1 freekin hour to finally sign up for AC back when I first played. The only thing that made me not give up was the chance to play a MMORPG for free. (Back when they had the free 1 month trial for AC).
But yeah, who knows how many new customers were driven away after trying to navigate the MSN site? There's too much junk on their site not directly related to AC. Look at other MMORPGs. You go to a web page devoted ONLY to their game. The sign-up link is clear. You hit it one time and your in!
- AC is also suffering from the new games getting released. If the gameplay matches the graphics of the newest MMORPG's, good by AC for good because no new players will ever sign up to AC ever again.
First post here.
I have played AC since 1999. I don't troll -gamesite.coms- to post. I made an exception here as I came to vote and was curious what some might have posted.
I honestly feel AC has played out its last dime. I have enjoyed the 4years (YES, Four years) of exploring and developing my characters w/out 3rd party apps or Exp chains. The game is still fun to jump in and find things to do - help vassals, explore new dungeons, quest, etc... regardless of the fact I've reached the max level in-game (126).
Nothing wrong with AC at all.
It beats the tar outta every other mmorpg I've tried, and I've beta tested or tryed dozens since I started AC in '99.
Yep, four years in Dereth, and I'm still luvin' it!
