For those Black Desert Online players who prefer a front line tank that wears heavy armor, with the ability to aggro and hold piles of enemies and that has the ability to be a utility (albeit a lightweight) to other players, a survivable, durable presence, a CC-specialist and do some damage in the process, the Valkyrie may be the class of choice.

    Valkyrie is ridiculously powerful compared to Warrior, at least in the early game.

    I played both and leveling warrior was grueling, whereas Valkyrie just destroyed things in seconds.

    Warrior also didn't have as good mobility in comparison.

    But hey, this was my personal experience. I'll be maining a Valkyrie for release, then looking at Sorceress or Gandalf.

    Question about BDO, Valkyrie, any other class that uses shields.

    Are there Tower Shields in the game, and can Valk use them? not a fan of little round bucklers, but would totally dig a tower shield.

    I didn't try any of the melee classes, but this sounds pretty sweet, since Tanks are always short I may just roll one of these ladies

    What I read about a lot of people doing, especially given the Valkyrie's early game strength and farming utility with her amazing CC/AoE, is that they use her to get a character to 50 that then becomes the one farming up all the "good stuff" for a Warrior that they bring up more slowly, but with much better gear for her assistance. Seems some really like the Warrior better on higher levels, the Valk in early game. I dunno though. She seems like she'd be pretty utilitarian in elder too. :D

    Don't know about late game since it was just CBT but the valk is dang powerful. Handles well and combos seem more natural than the ranger.

    Note: This is from KR not US play time. Stopped playing KR about month ago almost. So might not still be the same as when I stopped.

    Honestly as fun as Valkyrie is, Warrior is a lot more useful in GvG for me. Valkyrie is definitely good for farming most mobs. They aren't bad in GvG or PvP. Never really found Warriors mobility to be an issue with the exception of fights against Ninjas, Tamers, and Archers.

    In War - Victory.
    In Peace - Vigilance.
    In Death - Sacrifice.

    I actually prefaired the wizard, deals good range AOE damage.

    as a Blader I kill Valkyrie in 5 secs :)
