Did you know that they have a kiddie pool for noobs to post? That you are relegated to a new-poster forum for 2 weeks before you can even post your thoughts on the trial?

That's wacky, huh? What a way to keep the bad press down.

Did you also know that if you d-load the free trial, you get on that noob forum? Did you also know that if you never log into the game, ever, you will eventually gain access to the rest of the forums after 2 weeks?So basically, you can post on the $OE forums all you want if you never log into the trial.

I for one found that interesting.

    I heard that Smed is really active on that forum.

    Yes, the fact that the forum exists is old news... the fact that you can post on the suckboards with a free access after 2 weeks is new... at least to me.

    Sounds like the usual, they think the free trial is going to be their savior since it's tied into livestarwars.com.

    Makes sense to me. The regular forums are polluted with sourpuss' with more intention to sway new players than actually help them. At least a noob pool allows people to work on issues together from a fresh perspective, instead of only hearing how it "used to be".

    Glad you posted though.  I am sure that fresh perspective on the game is so helping soe.  I would much rather listen to noobs of a game then a vetern who went through all the content and knows the professions.  That is logical.

    I wonder though, I was under the impression that when that forum was introduced, you a newb could only post in it for 30 days, has this changed?

    I wouldn't call any forums a dose of reality actually. I would call it "the other extreme" maybe, but a well grounded person can usually find a safe middle after hitting the forums.

    I agree.  But that's why I call it a dose of reality.  There's 2 sides to every story and I think you should be able to see both in the forums.  Those who say that everything is peachy and those who say that everything sucks. 

    Besides, say a newb comes along and all he wants to do is be have a glow stick and pwn!  He might think that all in the game is peaches & cream.  But if he stops by the forums and sees what the game used to be, what was taken out and how the customers have been treated, he might think differently.

    What I am saying, is that you can get the account, NEVER log into the game, and you'll be able to post on the suckboards all you want for free until they ban you. POST, not just read. For free... for every account you d-load with.

    Thanks,  my pig-latin is a bit rusty.  Last time I used it was on the last days of Napster when we would change the names to of songs to pig-latin to bypass the filters.
