They've been saying that early access packages were going to end for a while. I know you're frustrated but it has been communicated repeatedly on websites and emails.

Oh, OP knows he is wrong and but he just has a very hard time to take the blame on himself thus trying to blame the company and make them pay for his "mistake"...

I purchased the game a few hours after pre-order ended on the 26th. The warning page was up at that time.

Ok so I'm wrong and I made a mistake. And so did hundreds of others if you look on their forums. So if it's not just a few but a great many, then i would argue they didn't do a great job managing the process because I assure you that all I saw when I went through the buying process was to choose the explorer pack and then I saw that the explorer start date was today. I didn't set my eyes on any special preorder rules, FAQs or news pages, and didn't look for them either. To put them behind additional links and not clearly on the buying pages is my issue. If that makes me in the wrong then so be it. I still don't know trust the company and have just received my refund - so everyone's happy.

Cmon you are not new here so you must allrdy know how it usually goes, in 30 days the game will allrdy officially be deemed a failure by most as always and a lot of ppl will have moved on.

I agree OP ,i looked at those two packages a couple days ago,it was misleading.
Also the FULL benefits of the package would of course be expected, otherwise why by or have two different packages.Meaning of course you will get the items, after all you paid for it.

Being full on misleading, simply get a  refund and if you still want to play just buy the 29 dollar package.Honestly 20 bucks for a mount/pet is just like selling you the first package with added cash shop purchase.
The premise or illusion of buying the 50 dollar pack was to get into early access.I personally hate the whole early access garbage we see every game doing, garbage strategy lame way to run a business.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

I give it 60 days, people will feel left out when they can't get a house or just won't like the whole design behind it with bidding wars, they won't like pvp soon many will leave then many more will follow.

Like seriously any developer with half a clue knows the impact of rmt in gaming, why on earth would you create a housing system relying on bidding, this is full on supporting rmt activity.

Mark123 has definitely posted misleading and incorrect information. When he went to purchase the explorer's pack, the Conqueror's pack was no longer available, and it did not state anywhere that he was to be provided with head-start access. So please do not believe this person's lies.

I know this because I was helping a friend purchase a pack the very same day they were taken down, and we figured out he wouldn't be able to get in early right away. While Daum should have renamed the packs and in bold print stated *NO HEAD START ACCESS WITH THESE PACKS*, they probably just assumed people could read what they were purchasing, and not jump to conclusions. That is Daum's only real fault here, yet is in no way fraud.

Well they are either going to have to refund all those people or let them play early.  One decision they lose money the other they make money.  Its not a hard decision.
That is a lot of assumptions there...
That's common sense actually.  Or they can just be aholes and keep all the money and say screw the players.  Which will result in people calling their banks and taking the money back.  Which ends in either one of those two "assumptions" that are actually the only options.
Are you onto something or just on something?

It actually says in their ToS that you can refund within 14 days of purchase. You just have to contact customer service. So I don't think getting your money back would be a problem. People just need to learn to read.

If there was "pre-order" written, you have early access.
If there wasn't, you bought a regular pack without early access and without the other pre-order bonuses, and you will have to wait release on march 3rd.

That was very clearly stated on the website.

You can also look if you have pre-order items in your account on the official website.
More than that, it was mentioned on the list of things you got with the packs as well before you bought it. If there was no mention of a 48 hours headstart... guess what...? There is no headstart in that pack then! :pleased:

It's once again evidence that no matter how often the devs spell something out for people, they still don't read it. I bet even if they put red text on there that said "WARNING! THIS PACK DOESN'T COME WITH A HEADSTART!" people would still miss it and complain afterwards. xD

My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)

This is all you needed to accept from the get go and moved on instead of coming to a forum and stomping your feet like a child because they wouldn't give you what you wanted, even though you knew you were wrong.  Apparently, some are incapable of accepting responsibility for making wrong decisions.  Bad decisions in life have consequences.  Take this as a learning experience and move on.

They could make you type CONFIRM that you read the message, click a check box and have someone fly to your house to confirm in person and people would still miss it. Why actually read something when you can just mindlessly click a button and then get pissed off later on?

You're missing the point entirely.  He will get in.  On the 3rd ... as specified.

It's not just about crashing the server, the game is really dependent on farming mobs. Until you're able to PVP and fight for spots, it's pretty tight. They upped the spawn rate of certain enemies near the starter zones, but the areas where people grind for exp are always camped (which sucks if you're doing quests). A lot of the fishing spots are already exhausted as well.

And yeah, surprisingly a lot of people want to play the game.

Yeah, everything that's listed you'll get when the game launches. It will not be right away though. After you create your character you have to claim the items on their site and they will eventually mail them to you (says 24 hours or less).

The packs (I think) are pretty much the same as the pre-order packs, without the head start.

It is not about how you start America , it is about how you finish -  Trump
  • ManestreamManestream Member UncommonPosts: 941
I didnt go for the game because the pricing is the same for every country (US = £29.99, Euro = 29.99 and GBP = £29.99) although the £ is = to $1.52 and 1.46 euro's which would mean i would be paying 50% more than others for the same thing.
There is no conversion rate being done by this company (primarily cos they carnt be assed). I just hope alot of GBP people stay away from this game till that changes.

Yeah I noticed that too and was not happy about that, though every time I clicked the site it only offered me in Euros not pound, go figure.

Also, glad other people are with me on what I said to OP, if I'm not the only one I can't be that wrong about it.
