Does this game have much in the way of dungeon-crawling content?

Running dungeons is my favourite part of an MMO, so I'm just wondering if this game would be worth playing - for me.

    Nah, this probably won't be your game then. BDO has a focus on non-instanced content.

    I see what you're saying, but dungeons do not necessarily mean instanced content - Vanguard was one of my favourite MMOs, all open-world dungeons.

    I feel ya.  I'm playing the game now.  I'm trying to adjust my thinking of a mmo and stick with the game.  I'll admit I like the freedom of the game...minus having a bulleye on my back at 45.  A shift towards content like dungeons would be great.

    Goblin Cave not for from Velia is a small dungeon.

    Isn't Cron Castle a "Dungeon" of sorts too? North of Velia's coast?

    I found a small cave system filled with Dwarves. So there are "small" dungeons at least (along with the Goblin Cave). I haven't found anything else yet.

    There are a lot of places I've found full of open world inside monster areas that have some dungeon feel. 
    Reminds me of DAoC or EQ ish.  Some have chests I can open with these keys I fished up.

    It will have open world dungeons (stronger mobs, better rewards etc.), not instanced. You will bump into other parties etc.

    Yea, I've been having a read around and it seems like (as a few people mentioned here) there will be more in the way of dungeon content added later down the line.

    This is fantastic! All those big guilds will farm these dungeons for the stones to upgrade their gear instead of once a day quest so they can power up to stomp all the little guilds and soloist  that can't farm as fast.

    I mean it's an open world dungeon. You go in, others can go in. It's open to the world, no loading screens.

    I mean it's an open world dungeon. You go in, others can go in. It's open to the world, no loading screens.
    Yeah but he's right that may be a Dungeon but it's still not instanced you know like being an instance of a dungeon just for your group there will never be any instanced content in this game.

    One thing to note is that there is no loot/reward for the dungeon. They are just "places".

    Yeah but you can get wanted items from the mobs. Got several dark armor stones from a "dark knight' place (temple? whatever it was).

    Yeah but he's right that may be a Dungeon but it's still not instanced you know like being an instance of a dungeon just for your group there will never be any instanced content in this game.
    Yup pretty much. I believe the developers were asked about that and they want to keep everything open.

    Im losing track game to game so many but this i believe is all going to be crafting mat drops off the Bosses.It would make sense since weapons and gear have to be worked into the player models/animations while crafting mats take literally no effort at all,matter of fact they can just use the mats already in the game even when adding new content.

    MuiKun a city where normal Karma players are attacked by guards,so encouraging PKing.Also Valencia region is open season for all reducing penalties,so again more encouraged pvp.Quests centered on hunting down high karma players again all aimed at pvp.

    Valencia features hot days ,cold nights which damage your player.You have to gather resources to stave this off,guess where all the PK'ing will happen lol.No world Boss update,just zones/maps but not much for content.

    Ninja class coming,they are charging you for that.99% soloing game,unless you want to gvg pvp,again way too much focus on pvp in this game and that is because pvp takes no effort to add,it is always there.

    They give you this FAKE pretend game to 45 but eventually all it is going to be is a pvp game.Grind farm grind farm or pvp take your choice,that is your game post 45.Too bad it is a lovely game as everyone has noted for a few years now,i like the looks of the game,but as far as design goes,Korean devs still have no clue.

    There are no instances. But there are dungeon-like areas with timed spawn bosses that would take many people to defeat, as well as regular/hidden caves with random treasures.

    Don't think you understand one thing here. These dungeons drop stone to upgrade. Second dungeon the guy killed that mob and looted a stone so expect them to drop really frequently. This presents a problem though. Big guilds control entrance so even if it were instanced it won't matter because if you can't get to the entrance, how you going to get in to farm it.
