Swear to the man upstairs I'm not trolling lol. But isn't this kinda old? Quite sure I've seen this video segment posted here at least twice already in the last year.
Looks good to me. I knew exactly where that last area was even though I haven't been there in many many years.

That is how it has always looked.. Inside my head. If a game manage to get the right mood, my imagination always fills in the rough parts. Guess that is why I am not so impressed by looks in games.. I go straight to judging it on gameplay and ability to create a believable setting.
Aesthetics play a bigger role for me than graphics alone ever could, but this is pretty amazing. I wonder if he did all the art himself based on WoW or if he simply used premade art assets to get as close as possible. With this engine, the WoW art team, and all of the other aesthetically pleasing goodies that Blizzard is so good at, I agree it would be a truly amazing experience. What could have been, indeed.
surely using the unreal 4 engine would push the requirements up to much . my understanding was the way they went with said art style etc was so that everyone can play it even the cheap pcs from supermarket
A Vanilla WoW remake with Unreal 4 engine would be a huge success for sure!
Well done
yea.. no it would not.
a) blizzard wouldn't use an external engine, unless they buy it.
b) success is defined on what, selling numbers? you couldn't sell it, no success :P
and last but not least,
c) the reason WoW is what it is actually IS it's engine. weather you guys like it or not does not actually matter.
I realize that making a Vanilla WoW with Unreal 4 engine will, most likely, not happen but I´ll be damned if there wouldn't be a massive influx of people eagerly to replay WoW´s glory days in a totally new engine. How much time would peeps stick around, I have no idea, it depends in how the company maintains the world interesting.

Unreal engines are amazing but it still comes down to the developer.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

If World of Warcraft actually looked like this I might actually be compelled to play it.

I think Black Desert would not have any object pop if they would do a video without any NPC's or PC's in it.
De video however shown was okay. Would this video include NPC's then I might have been impressed.
