On March 15, 2016, Blizzard Entertainment and Dark Horse Comics will publish World of Warcraft Chronicle: Volume 1. The book is a compendium of lore and background information. The Legion expansion swirls around many of WoW’s iconic moments including Illidan, Queen Azshara, the Pillars of Creation, the Old Gods, the Titans and many others. We will be sharing a few excerpts over the course of the week and that will have relevance when Legion launches later in 2016.

Why bother? They're just going to retcon the hell out of it later, then half the damn guide will be useless, forcing you to buy another version.... AHA! Never mind, that makes perfect business sense. Carry on.

AN' DERE AIN'T NO SUCH FING AS ENUFF DAKKA, YA GROT! Enuff'z more than ya got an' less than too much an' there ain't no such fing as too much dakka. Say dere is, and me Squiggoff'z eatin' tonight!

We are born of the blood. Made men by the blood. Undone by the blood. Our eyes are yet to open. FEAR THE OLD BLOOD.

Bah ,these lazy titles on threads got me.I thought this was an article on Chronicles of Eloryia then i saw the picture and thought my god that doesn't look good.So i began reading and it's Blizzard Warcraft crap   yuck.I can't see anyone caring about this, well i see one person,Warcraft Lore, seriously?Well lucky for that one person that Blizzard is sending in a steady pipeline of advertising money, you should get your fill of Blizzard.

The only thing i want to see or hear about coming out of Blizzard's camp is the movie and good thing someone else is making that, otherwise it would be a cartoon if made by Blizzard.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

This isn't a guide or anything that is in the game. It is the 'historical' lore behind the game. Nothing can be "retconned".

@Wizardry You should definitely visit the Newsroom.cfm page instead where titles are clearly displayed to avoid such horrifying shocks to your system!  ;)

Once the new site launches, game names will be displayed in titles on the forum.

Actually, this is not a good sign!

Warcraft was originally conceived as a wargame for strategically minded people.

As time has progressed, WoW has become simplified for younger children. Now we're getting a film and story books.

I think we can see the trajectory here.

    Sweet.

A couple days ago i was reading about Vindicator Nobundo (turned Farseer Nobundo), the red mist, and the Unbroken. I love the Warcraft lore. That is the only reason i keep coming back every now and then.
