Alot of people say that they get through the PvE half of the game too quickly and more than a few people have stated that they thought the PvE aspect was too easy. I'm currently in a guild where most of the players haven't logged on for several months because they beat the PvE game and lost interest. They'll all be back when Factions comes out, but probably only for for a few weeks.
My Question is this:
Do you think that the PvE side of GW would benifit from an option, Diablo 2 style, hardcore mode? By hardcore I mean that your character gets wiped and you have to start all over. It worked for Diablo 2, and the similarities between GW and D2 are pretty strong.

If you paid attention youd realise that in the new chapter (GW:Factions) theyve added specific elite PvE content and the faction wars to keep peple going with higher and harder challenges.
This is a silly idea. You get stuck on a bad team and the whole team wipes... Bye bye to your character. Not because of you, but because of your team.
I think it's a good Idea.
I think that anything that is easily implimented for the devs and adds replay value to the game for the consumer (of course not all) is a great Idea. But I think that unless they add new maps constantly or just new content in general people will just loose interest. Or they can go the other MMO route and just make everything take longer to do, hehe. I believe that most people can only do the same thing over and over so many times before they look for something else to do.
I also think that people are a little too hard on others here sometimes. He/she was asking a question cause they were curious. I'm pretty sure I didn't see any text inviting rude comments or general abuse because a person didn't fully explain themselves, or research as in depth as someone else. We got a lot of jerks that express themselves too openly on this site (as well ass everywhere else .
Would not fit the game I'd say.
What would the game be then? It's a game where casualties comes frequently and yes you reach max level fast but not THAT fast that you can afford to die every 10 seconds.
If this option would be considered it should be a third option which would not hurt, options are always nice.
But that version would also require some changes in the gameplay so that it would fit.
The better option to fix this would be to make a second type of RP mode, where the leveling goes much much slower (or maby more levels?). Still I can't see how it would work smoothly but this also would take some fixing

And I don't want to hear anything about "I don't believe in vampires" because *I* don't believe in vampires, but I believe in my own two eyes, and what *I* saw is ******* vampires! "
I wonder how many of those people also bought GW Gold on-line, paid for runners through the entire game (I have seen level 1s in the Crystal Desert trying to get through the Ascension quests) and then complained that the game was "too easy" and was "boring."
Alot of what makes any game is what you bring to it: your desire to explore the virutal world the developers have created, and to work your way through it.
I have been on teams with warriors in full "Drok's Armor" that had no idea how to tank for the team or how to build a warrior capable of surviving an alpha strike. You can tell pretty quickly which players have been "run" through the entire game. And warriors aren't the only ones. Monks who spam heal party because they're too lazy to click on individual names to use orison of healing or heal other to preserve energy, rangers who use spike and barbed traps on Jade Armors, elementalists who use nukes as alpha strikes, causing mobs to run and aggro other mobs. The point is, you can always tell which players haven't really played the game and those that have. If it weren't for all the "runners" and the "running economy", I doubt you'd hear so many complaints as to how easy or boring the game is.
One of my pet peeves is hanging out in town and reading people spam the local channel requesting "runners", when in the time it takes them to find a runner, they could assemble a team of henchmen, complete a couple of quests, and get to where they needed to go while actually learning to play their build. (I know, "what a concept"!)
Instead, lazy people are always looking for a shortcut (instant gratification) and then are disappointed and angry when people they finally team with call them "stupid noobs" because they don't know how to play the game.
The PvE game has plenty of challenge and depth if people are willing to do more than dip their toe in it.
actually a good idea it would be much harder and not a easy thing passing the game
oh well.. my guild would do it with our eyes blind folded lol... we do the hardest missions sometimes for fun so quick and so easy we sometimes amaze ourselves lol

This whole runner concept is foreign to me, I can say I think GW's is great, I loved the story line, Why would you want to miss whole parts of the game, my understanding is they have three runs, from Ascalon to Yaks and then so on untill they get to droknars in order to get the armor, I assume these are 2nd and 3rd characters, and not there first, because well why would you bother buying the game.
I mean an example is whenever Rurik is involved in a mission my wife always says "o no not that c@nt again" the rurick mission are all classic suicide runs and really funny the classic line, " o my fecking god where has he run off too again, jesus I am going to kill him myself" LMAO
