Not whining. But you continue to prove my point by refusing to answer a simple question.

So why don’t politicians answer the question? There are, I believe, two reasons. First, they are afraid. To give a straight answer to a difficult question is to put yourself at the mercy of a brutally unforgiving mmo mob environment. Your every word is being scrutinised by players, hostile party operatives from across the game spectrum.

Because not every post of mine here has been shitting on the game?  Also I already answered that question before.

Which of course you know, but for some reason you keep asking the question over and over.  You didn't like the answer or are you looking for 'ammo'?

    Why is that?

Instead of asking why I found it silly or why I think the horn should be farther back I get the
WTF?  Why you question the game, You suck!  Why you shitting on game?  You think game sucks, Why you here?

Yeah, way to want discussion on the game. O.o

Oh that's right you all don't want discussion,  you want fawning agreement....

No, many of us want discussion. You just fail at starting them or even having them. You are simply here to attack this game, as you have been from the start. You arent following the production of this game. You havent joined the actual community of this game. All you do is stalk these forums and attack anything and everything you can about this game. The only reason to do that is if you are a troll that wants to see the game fail, are pushing for another game so breaking this one down is a strategy, or you are simply out looking to attack others creativity. If you actually started a discussion many of us, myself included, would partake. But, you dont. Instead you attack attack attack. You know its possible to disagree with something and start a discussion on it without attacking it right? It is possible bring up topics for discussion without being aggressive. Maybe you could try that instead? Probably not though.

EDIT: And you never did give a real answer to my question. All you have ever done is deflect it and question others motives.

Timber is extra salty this morning I see.

Eating with that horn so far out looks plausible to me...

If you look at bhino pic the horn first curves outward, beyond the base of the chin and mouth, it would make it very uncomfortable (not possible) for the animal to eat. If we see the rhino pic we notice the horn runs vertical to the front of the mouth and then curves backwards, there is not the huge bulge in it that extends past the front of mouth.

It's pretty neat @Timberhick would notice that.  There's nothing wrong with critiquing art, that's why we look at it, to enjoy it and apply it to what we know about the world around us, and sometimes that leads to fair questions such as, "why is this like that?" But an astute observation will rarely interfere with rampant hero worship.

This is sort of a silly discussion - the difference is obvious - actual Rhino's mouths are placed at the bottom - and the horns are further up on their head:

See how the mouth is way at the bottom in relation to the horns? That's why they can eat low grass

On the concept art - the horn is way lower - near the tip of the nose, which would be problematic, the horn would hit the ground before the mouth could reach it. Also being so far near the tip - it would be subject to breaking off easy, there's not enough bone structure near the tip to support such a massive horn.

Two very different things - which one - as in real Rhino works, the other would not.
True. We haven't seen more than concept art for this creature yet; maybe the rendering of the character model for it will be more realistic with the horn further up the skull or retracted.

It is a silly discussion, i agree.

You missed that it has hands, and can simply place food in its mouth. The Trison is more than just a Bison/Rhino or Bison/Triceratops hybrid. Imagine a Minotaur that was more bull than human.

I should remind people that just because something says Fantasy it still has to have plausible realism. If a game had big fat cows flying through the sky,you wouldn't question that?

What if on the way to conquer the enemies castle in a day of Shivalry you happened across a McDonalds, you wouldn't question that?So yes you DO need plausible realism in EVERY game.

So far everything seems pretty well thought out to me with this game, things are looking good so far.

Can we not feed the trolls tell we can use them to generate free energy
and as for the horn it is a concept art things will change and it is a fantasy setting as has been stated

With zero knowledge that these trison have hands and feets(appears like there is 4-5 toes on their feet)  What you are showing there can easily be assumed to be (as bison are even-toed ungulates) two toes.

You know it's not like they aint in pronograde posture and all...

That was my initial point. Most people assumed they were hooves or toes. I'm telling you they are hands. Heat refers to the trison as a cross between a bison with a third horn and a silverback gorilla.

The fact that they are hands means you don't need to worry about the horn placement. It can eat fine.

So now it's a bison-rhino-giraffe that happens to be an omnivore?

No I am not a biologist, what I did do though is grow up on a farm. Have years of experience watching ungulates eat.  That 3 horned bison is ludicrous.  That shows an artist not at all familiar with how ungulates eat.

I'll take me years of personal, hands-on experience of knowing what the hell I'm talking about over your fanboy outrage of someone saying something bad about your favorite game.
Seriously man? Fantasy game....not farm sim, they can add bat wings to the bison as far as I am concerned .

Why are you wasting your time discussing a game you are not finding interesting?

Nice concept arts, interesting alterations to a current design.  Will mean a lot more to me when they get those models into the game and we see what they look like.  However if i'm truthful to myself, most mob models are looked at for a few seconds before I either decide to kill it or move on.

Help me Bioware, you're my only hope.

Is ToR going to be good? Dude it's Bioware making a freaking star wars game, all signs point to awesome. -G4tv MMo report.

Don't worry about the horn placement, evolution will take care of that !

As soon as the game goes live, those trison that have the horn too far forward will start starving to death. Only those specimens with laid-back horns will survive, breed and thrive. Two months after launch this concept art will be forgotten...

Ok this thread has redeemed the mmorpg forum community in my eyes. It seems that those people like timberhick are in the minority.

And further to caspian pointing out that they are toes if instead of flaming timberhick had said
" with that horn it would struggle to eat does anyone know how it manages it?"
A discussion would have been started and caspian would have put in his explication and everyone would have gone "Ah".

[mod edit]. He did not try to start a discussion he just criticised something based on his real life experience with no information about the games creatures

I have no doubt i will like a lot of the game, only the pvp, implementation  of ideas  AND monetary system scares me.
Graphics have looked solid from what i have seen, lots of depth sounds great, ideas not used in other games shows thought, lots to like.

What usually bothers me ,like most things on earth is when $$$ becomes involved.
