Sooo, Vendetta Online, the best EVE knock-off ever? :D

Even if it has it's own take on things and has some innovation, it looks just like an EVE knock-off.

It looks nothing like an EvE knockoff. You actually control the ship. In EvE you right click on things and wait for it to shoot. What are you talking about?

This is exactly the type of games and applications i expected from VR and yes they are boring.
The simple reason is th eworld, all you ever get is EMPTINESS,some generated asteroids and a few shotty looking modules.
I cannot see VR doing a single thing for these games, this whole cross marketing is feeding off itself but does nothing for gaming.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

Well that's a silly thing to say. It may not be your cup of tea but VR and space Sims go hand-in-hand IMO. For me a major draw of Vendetta is the ambiance and VR will only enhance this.

Depending on how you measure, Vendetta actually predates Eve by about a year; it was freely available to anyone and continuously running since April 2002.  However, the retail launch was in November 2004.

It certainly isn't an Eve knockoff.
