OMG totaly agreed they only have an ocean and a couple countries between them, and australia is a continent of its own but iran isnt, iran is about a tenth the size of australia, australia is an island but iran isnt, iran is in the middle east but australia is in the pacific ocean, OMG you have to be genious to know where each one is.

They have some things on Jay Leno like that too where they go around the streets asking people questions. And yeah, there are Americans who don't know where to USA is on the world map. I'm sorry, but at that point I think you should just lose citizenship.
I'll be the first to admit there are a few countries in the world I can't pinpoint dead on (mostly the smaller ones in central/east Asia), but if I can't I can at the VERY LEAST give you the region.

The guys that do this are from a show called The Chaser Non Stop News Network. They are VERY funny guys who regularly skate along the edge of being dragged into court for the stuff they say.

And thats pretty mild for them.
Their current theme is "The Chaser War on Everything". That clip is about 18 months old and they freely admit it was edited to leave only the Geographically challenged responses.
I love their stuff... but I like to point out that in my experience the average Ozzy would do no better on those questions than the average American.
Like I keep saying on these forums... Lots of people with lots of strong opinions and some of them even know why they have them

Quite funny, though I'm sure you would get similar responses off of any street in any country. Dumb folks aren't limited to the US, and unfortunatly your not allowed to hunt them. What scared me most was that these 'regular joes' were so willing to nominate another nation to be invaded. Wonder how they would feel if the tables were turned and they were facing the prospect of thousands of hostile troop pounding down their street.

I've heard people say that if you don't like America then leave. Well, I tried to leave. Not that I don't like America, but I just wanted to live somewhere else for a little while. I tried New Zealand, Britian, and Ireland. Mostly because I only know English. I've got a bachelor's degree in science and a teacher certification. Still, none of those countries would take me as a citizen. I'm beginning to wonder just how free the free world is. Or at the least I'm wondering why nobody will take a hard working American who would love to get to know them better.

SnaKey, you may be a trolling eve-obsessed psychotic, but you sure can come up with attention grabbing Subject Lines. "Why The Mods Suck", was a classic.
Sometimes I'll see one of your topics and think, "Yah, this guys finally lost it." and expect to open up a shooting range with your avatar as the bullseye. You do a fairly good job of not stumbling completely over the line though. Except with the EVE thing. . . We Get It! EVE is good! hahaha

Theyd to have gone through allot of people to get to a few select ones they have on that video, heres my proof:
OFF THE TOP, to start, a good 20-33% of those interviewed, when asked where we should go next in the war on terror would have been flaming-liberals who wouldnt know how to shut up about how evil Bush is, let alone talk about geography.
And everyone knows Republicans are the smart ones, even the moderate ones, so you can take out the right 50%.
Another good percentage of that left 50%-(20%-33%) would have been the moderate Democrats who were probably too stupid to realize what theyre leadership is saying, so I'd have to say that that 17%-30% would be them who wouldnt know Australia from Alaska.
I also wouldnt be too suprised that these interviews were taking just at the entrance of a public school or public college, where liberalism and stupidity reigns supreme.
