The irony of The Division is lost on so many who haven’t been a part of the MMO industry for years. How long did we wail about games like Darkfall and the cruelty of losing our hard earned stuff? Then The Division comes along and everyone loves it. You know why? Taking a big risk for a big reward is exhilarating. And, just like most MMORPGs that tried this dynamic before it, losing isn’t such a big deal after all.

You understand nothing about DF if you think so and spread false information, in DF gear don't matter much and you replace a decent bag in 5 minutes.

Full loot games are always so, gear is not the same like themepark like wow where you need weeks or months to make the uber sparkle gear.

Play Darkfall next time before spread unjustified pregiudice and lies, thanks.

Also, on a final note, the Divsion is not a full sandbox mmorpg, is just a single player FPS with some rpg elements and a multiplayey coop feature.
    Apples and oranges.

It's become commonplace now I guess the fantasy setting.

It was not in the 60's when I started reading books and imagined myself living with elves and dwarves. Dragons were so impressive in my imagination and the books covers would be loving stroked and every detail would be memorized by me so that I could get my imagination just so as I read.

Over time when I played the first few games that were set in a fantasy world it was a dream come true. I always wanted to be an elf. R.A Salvatore had a lot to do with that.

Real world setting is a change yes but to call fantasy boring means you never experienced your first fantasy book without anything but the book cover to aid your imagination.
