your joke about guild wars being more an mmo then WoW is your best so far, really made me laugh. especialy when you acted that way like you don't know what the term mmorpg means. hillarious!

GW is better than WOW because the box is smaller and takes less space on my shelf.

WOW is better than GW because I installed it on my C:/ hard drive and GW is on the D:/ drive and because of that I have no more space on D:/ because D:/ was way smaller to start with.

GW is better because when I went out to buy it I met a nice girl.

WOW is better because when I went to buy it it was a lovely sunny day.

GW is better because the character name I wanted to use in WOW was taken but I could make a character with that name in GW.

WOW is better because it has rifles.

GW is better because it has something named "grim cesta", and I've been dreaming of having one of those ever since Pong.

And finally: Both GW and WOW suck because none of them is SWG, and both are the best games ever because none of them has the NGE ::::28::

this says that you never played guildwars ...
believe it or not , yes i can speak with all players from all instances , districs , territorys , call it what ever you want - /comand " WISPER " ... realtime .. not email .. just say , hey meet me in lians arch international 1 near the frog ... i would give you a factions preview key so you could see for your selfe , but my friends got it ...
best chances are , you would be bored of guildwars in 10 minutes , the game requires a certain level of IQ

no, wow was not my first mmotrollpg , my first was AO , then some others ... now i only play GW
let me tell the diference GW / WOW
wow doesnt require math calculations , its so easy that doesnt matter if you are 10 years old or 60 , you will be as good of a player.
guildwars , if you know about a 10 year old that made a build for 8 vs 8 pvp arenas , please tell me , cose this kid is a genius.
    lets go to math again
    6 professions , 36 profession combinations
    600 skills
can only take 8 to battle
max 8 people ( factions will have more )
can you make a probabilites ? im sure you cant
you area a RPG player , you only know point and clic , and you dont need to know more
point & clic for a year and you have your godly caracter , no brain calculations required

i know, i know. i should stop.... but hey, this is funny.

"You can speak DIRECTLY only with people present in your instance"

Emphasized enough? Directly means.... well directly. no /tell or /w or whatever. type and return and they see it. If you would have bothered reading past the first line you would know but hey, whatever boss.

So... you need to be a genius (and older than 10 years old) to be good at GW.

I am certain you know GW is inspired by.... Magic the Gathering, the first and most famous CCG in existence. it has thousands of cards coming from gazzilions different expansions and it works same way as GW as you can have only a certain amount in your deck.

Well, guess who is the World champion of MtG.. a 40 year old nuclear scientist? nope.

a 30 year old lawyer? nope

a 20 year old university student? nope

a teenager. barely 14. so.. there goes your point about kids being unable to be good at such systems.

    Have a nice day.

But basically the best pvp guild you were in was lead by a 14 year old, with no doubt many kids as well? So what you are trying to say is...8 years olds can play WOW....but it takes a 14 year old to play GW?

     Very interesting indeed.

  • exanimoexanimo Member UncommonPosts: 1,301
no , im saying that you are the perfect wow player , no brains

No reason to get mad.....you said it , not me. And I allready told you multiple times , I play both and both are great. Plus petty little insults....come on....you are a little more mature than that right? You cant come in to the WOW forums saying only little kids can play WOW, when you act like a little kid yourself.....what does that tell people?

  • Bama1267Bama1267 Member UncommonPosts: 1,822
Anyway back to my last question, before you got rude and had to resort to insults. It takes an 8 year old to play WOW but a 14 year old can be really good at guild wars in pvp? If im not mistaken that is what you said in 2 of your above posts , can you elaborate as to what the difference is please without resorting to insults.

i have a simple math for you
    how many servers WOW as ? 20 , 30 ?
can you play with people form other server ? no
can you chat with people from other server ? no
    5.5 million copys / 30 servers ... = WOW
    1 million copys / 1 server = GuildWars
no other mmorpg can beat guildwars in terms of : amount of people that can interact and join each other in seconds
    EAT THAT !

    Sigh.. you noob.

WoW has more than 80 servers, not 30.

GW has more than 40 servers, you tard.

What do you think all the districts are? THEY'RE SERVERS. What do you think every zone is? A SERVER. Instance servers count. You are just really stupid and shouldn't even be posting on forums.

I seriously doubt every instance is a new server. I think its more like a few instances on one server, and I wouldn't even be surprised if everything was packed up to 3 servers, this game doesn't have a monthly fee for a reason, and no thats not only because they release expansion packs every year.

ahhh WoW haters.... so refreshing.... so original... so........... sarcastic.

    Guild Wars.... linear.... no sarcasm.

For those that don't know what linear means.... for god's sake, go learn it.

I bet for most people following this thread, it'll be nice to see a post without "ROFL," "LOLZ," and "n00zor" a dozen times.

Anyways, I played both games as well, and both had a lot to offer. However, Guild Wars just wasn't a very good solo experience for me. Its, for the most part, impossible to leave a town without a group, but this is both its strength _and_ its weakness. GW was really fun because it required a lot less dedication than WoW. It was TRULY for casual gamers, especially since PVPers could jump straight into PVP with premade characters. However, I quit playing it once I got to the high teens because it just got boring... the actual gameplay in the instances was fun and wonderful and all, but it got to be horribly repetitive. I mean, its literally the same quest over and over again, and I, personally, didn't find the variety in enemies to be all that great.

As for its weakness, however, it severely limits sociabilitity. Considering I was basically in and out of towns in 5-10 minutes unless I was waiting for somebody, the social experience simply wasn't there. Whispering and being involved in a full-out chat are completely different, and you can't really substitute one for the other. On top of that, there was never really any atmosphere in the towns, except for a few random occurances. Players just seemed shielded from each other, and I never really felt connected to other players, which was a real downer for me.

On the other hand, it was great being dual professions; I forgot the specs exactly, but I think I had a Ranger/Priest, and I'll have to say, I have some really nice memories of playing it. The one page that WoW can take from GW is in the graphics section, becuase GW is much, much better looking in this regard. And even more, you could warp instantly to towns you'd already discovered! You have to admit, that's pretty enjoyable... :D

Then you have WoW, which is simply a different type of gameplay. Simply put, if GW is just casual, than WoW is somewhere between casual and hardcore. The first thing I noticed about WoW--and the main reason I got it--was socially. It was FUN chatting with people on the same quests, grouping with them on the run, and so on and so forth, which was one of the failures of GW, in my opinion. I really felt part of the world, and I was able to find many more friends and groups with much greater ease; people grouped not because they literally had no choice to, but because they wanted to.

Another thing--and this may be minor--was the whole buying/selling thing. MOst of the time, it was just people announcing stuff on the chat in GW, and it was never really very busy. Maybe it was just when I played it during the day, or the proximity to its release, but it wasn't very bustling. In WoW, however, before they moved the AH to all the major cities, I loved going to IF for the feel of the Auction House. Its still great running around and running past dozens upon dozens of people.

On top of that, GW (at least when I played it) had no real professions of sorts, at least not in the way WoW does. There's a lot of interdependence and useful items that can be crafted, and you can turn that into a business of sorts, easily. Its just another fun, socially reliant activity in WoW. Of course, there are the higher end instances, the higher level cap, etc., but those are really preferences.

Intelligence has nothing to do with either game. You're not stupid if you play GW or immature if you play WoW. Hell, half the times the people who play one play the other; it simply depends on what kind of gameplay you're looking for.
