I started as a Wiz and took it to level 33 so far. Then a Ranger and then a Sorceress both at 30.
They're all pretty good although squishy... but compared to the Valk I now have at level 28 there is no comparison. I hardly ever even have to use Guard. Shield Throw + Spinning Shield absolutely wrecks everything while CCing it.

Curious about a couple of things... are you just running your horses from Trent to Vellia to level them? I have a male and female T2 at level 10 and my T3 male from the package deal is level 12... should I wait to level 20 to breed or is the new, gentler RNG producing good results with breeding in the teen levels?

The Sorc gets much better AOE early and you can pretty well get by using Claws of Darkness (level 1), Dark Wave (level 15) and Shard Explosion (also level 1) to both deal a ton of damage at close range AND regenerate a ton of mana at the same time... all while being very mobile.
I'd say around level 30 the Ranger starts to pull away but the Sorc is no slouch if used properly from range.

What i am really missing is some dark magic caster, but more like a debuffer and CCer. Curses, slows, crippling touch, life leach, vermin swarms etc.
Not putting out DPS in first place, but still a class you'd rather avoid to run into in PvP.

The only problem I found is when it comes to world bosses, [Not the summon scrolls, the actual world bosses] basically every ranged class wins out since they don't need to get too close to do damage, hence avoiding the 1-hit kill issue.

The same ability is useful for AOE grinding or single target where it does all the damage to the one target.
It's what makes Shield Throw with the added Spinning Shield such a useful all-purpose ability. It's 10 hits on a single target when used on a scroll boss or violent mob if you manage to isolate it.
I've soloed just-purple to me violent mobs with it much easier than with any of the other classes I've tried.

This is just one of many small feature details in BDO that show that the developers knew what they were doing when they developed this game. Every time I play the game I am pleasantly amazed by the attention to detail they put into every aspect of this game. You can tell great thought was put into it. I sort of feel sorry for those people that are not able to see it because their game play preferences do not fit with what BDO has to offer. There is no game out right now that comes anywhere near the level of depth in BDO. And its going to only get better, if that's even possible. I seriously doubt there will be any coming out that will match it any time soon.
I don't thing anyone in their right mind would even question that, well, except you. Instead of questioning it though, why don't you come up with an MMORPG that is deeper than BDO? Make it good. We wouldn't want you to be the one drinking that kool-aid.
That's shallow dude. I expected more from you. BTW, how would you know the meaning of depth in a game when your thing is to rush to end game?
