Though having been largely silent since late 2015, the Saga of Lucimia team is back with a big update, most notably ready to impart the news that supporter Early Access is ready to kick off on April 30th. To get folks excited about next month's big happenings, the team has produced and published a new video that you can check out below.

How about you pay me to test ?
Currently playing browser games. Waiting for Albion Online, Citadel of Sorcery and Camelot Unchained.
Played: almost all MMO pre 2007
totaly agree with ya,early access games asking people to pay to help them find all buggs, like wtf,i dont mind when a company puts a price on their finished game, but asking us to pay so that we can help them out.......
nowadays every game that is coming out all want early acces + ask for some extreme prices,i understand that no1 works for free, but srsly, this is such BS
Oh well, this is one I would still play if they delivered what the promise but it seems incredibly unlikely that a team of amateures that never designed or delivered a game would succeed in making an MMORPG while working part time from remote locations.
With Pantheon looking more like an actual "thing" at this point I don't even know if there is a real niche for this...

We'll have another internal test on the 2nd of April with a few more of the features added in (we still have to get our party UI back up and going), so you can expect to see another video preview in a couple of weeks.
Then on to the 30th for our next public build for Early Access folks.
Cheers!
거북이는 목을 내밀 때 안 움직입니다
1. early access in general
2. a game that offers nothing new.
I buy early access games when I see a title that seems interesting and with features/content/approach that is new.
oh and I never report bugs, I just play them for fun
Please do not respond to me, even if I ask you a question, its rhetorical.
Please do not respond to me
Cheers
Meantime, the best place to stay up to date on things is via our forums or social media.
Back into the fray!
so is going to be p2p?
seriously, how much drugs these dev take for go with these insane price??! higher and higher ??!!
i remember when everyone was mad and crazy when neverwinter alpha was 200$...
now dev ask way more....
well i will start somewhere, and i never pay again for test a game not release.....
give free key for try your game before ask for money to help you fix the game, when the game release peoples buy your game if that good crazy but back then it was working like that, alpha were free since you WERE helping dev fix these mess and error, now these game release full of bugs.... wonder why.... , your game not even done, full of bugs, people will spend money on empty promise yet again ??
For what you guys are doing it looks quite good so far. So yes, I am cynical about the actual 'meat' of the game but now I also am interested, will keep an eye on this one, thank you.

Kyleran on yours sincerely
'But there are many. You can play them entirely solo, and even offline. Also, you are wrong by default.'
Ikcin in response to yours sincerely debating whether or not single-player offline MMOs exist...
'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.
It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.
It is just huge resource waste....'
Gdemami absolutely not being an armchair developer
We ENCOURAGE cynicism, @lahnmir . Browse through our blog posts, our posts here, dev diaries, 225+ newsletters, 200+ YouTube videos over the past two years, and you'll regularly find us telling people to NOT give us any money via pre-orders unless they are 500% on board with what we're doing. Heck, just yesterday Giovanni was on our Facebook page telling a guy NOT to buy our game because they didn't understand what our Early Access program was, or how it worked.
We aren't a AAA company; we're a group of part-time developers who are doing this in our spare time outside of our day jobs, and building the game we want to see made. We've got a small and loyal community who grow larger every day, and we're having a blast building the game together!
Since we're self-funded, the pre-orders don't go towards salaries; there's plenty of information on our site (including a blog post) that talks about where the money goes (lawyers, assets, convention attendance, etc.), and we've been working for two years now without a dime of anyone's money.
And we'll keep working until it's finished That's the beauty of having day jobs is that we aren't limited by a budgetary constraint when it comes to finishing our title.
So sit back, check in every few months, and if you like what you see, come play our game when it comes out. And if you get SUPER excited by something and want to be involved in the development, that's what the pre-orders are there for!
We've still got a couple of years ahead of us, and another preview video coming out in a couple of weeks just ahead of our April 30th build for our supporters. Stick around and let us know what you think.
or go to a bank and take a loan ( they are usualy realy low ) im not sure why everyone should pay for your project?! when the product not even done... only in mmorpg this work, make people pay for something not even done or finish based on promise and dream... your game probably full of bugs, yet you ask for crazy high price, price even AAA dev with group who work ''FULL TIMES'' often dont even ask.
why you do a 360 degree and ask for these high price ? im sure they are a reason, im guessing the reason and it make me sad....
i was pretty interrested in this game but when you release these insane price it make me think the dev are not honest and will do yet another, hit the money and run
Just for you guys:

Same thing with the negative nancies who criticize us for running pre-orders and Early Access. /shrug/ We’re doing the same thing Shroud of the Avatar is doing, and we hold their same philosophy. You are either on board with it, or you aren’t. No one is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to pre-order a copy of our game for Early Access.
If you are on board with what we are doing, and want to support our team, HELL YEAH! Welcome aboard, fellow Lucimian! But if you want to debate Early Access, bitch about how you think it’s a cash grab, about how we shouldn’t be charging money for something that hasn’t even been released fully…there’s the door.
Seriously. Fuck off. You aren’t our target audience, and we have zero inclination to change your mind. We’re too busy building our game, interacting with the people who matter to us: our backers and our community.
Then there is the classic slap fight he got into with Bree over at MasisvelyOP... which if you read the site regularly you know if a damn hard thing to do:
I think it's a REALLY good idea to be clear about your game's goals to avoid tricking people into falling for a game whose design doc won't suit them. But that's not what's coming across. Here's basically what the dialogue is right now:
"Our game is about grouping, and if you're not about grouping, you suck."
"Hmm, I love grouping! But I don't like it when you say people suck."
"That's because you suck. If you didn't suck, you wouldn't be upset at being told you suck. And our game is for people who don't suck."
"I thought the game was for people who liked grouping?"
"That's just what someone who sucks would say. Have a tissue."
"..."
@gdmartello @breetoplay If your PR is designed specifically to make "people like me" -- sooo, classic MMO gamers who appreciate old-school design but don't like watching developers take a dump on the MMO community -- not want to play your game, then your audience isn't old-school group-centric PvE MMO players but old-school group-centric PvE MMO players who are also assholes. Or can tolerate assholes. My tolerance for this kind of bullshit is admittedly low.
So umm... yeah.. I mean, when you piss off mild-mannered Bree you really can't say you "encourage cynicism"
