I cant imagine its an expansion honestly. An expansion for a player base of 40k seems ridiculous but SOE has found ways to cut corners (and costs) many times before. It would have to be one hell of a cheap expansion for them to make their money back from such a low subscriber base.
The announcement is slated for E3 apparently

I think you guys are totally exaggerating this...a new project could mean so many things especially as a computer game maker.
If theres one thing i have learned about SOE, it is that their new "projects" are all lame and stupid things, probably something pointless like Re adding new weapons or some crap like that, which they can talk up like it is a huge thing. This new project probably doesent mean diddly squat. They like to keep us rolling and make it look like they will give us what we want, but it is always just the opposite...
Damn ... "new project" .... could be literally ANYTHING.
I seriously doubt a new expansion. LOL what am I saying!!!!! I said that thinking that they wouldn't put out an expansion with out fixing the bugs they got now ..... silly me .... I should have known better.
Maybe it is an expansion.

Yea I would seriously expect the expansion to be Hoth. Only now, after they have lost 90% of the player base, who asked, begged, and wanted Hoth for ages will it be added to the game, in a desperation move to pull them all back, it might work...maybe. But they would have to put battlegrounds back in with it, with full scale battles (PvE, EvE and PvP) featuring AT-AT's, Snow Speeders and a twitch style combat to go with it. In other words....doubtfull.

Only way they get my $15 a month is:
1)Rollback to any pre-NGE-and i mean everything changed back, no half-assing it.
Until that happens-this game is dead to me and many others. I am going to go wipe my ass with the SWG cd's now

nah, they are finally going to the do the famed Smuggler revamp, and if you are a master smuggler or ever have been then you get a new capital ship for you and your friends to fly with.

Agreed 150%. You took the wind out of my sails.
But for me I will take it one step further. The ONLY way i will come back at this point is if it was preCU and the Devs PROMISED not touch the core of the game.
Otherwise $OE, $ONY, and $LA can burn in hell.

SOE have to suck it up, supply a pre - NGE server or two (maye the defunct japanese servers) and give a token free couple of months to say sorry. Most likely from scratch, so new chars all round. Any business, if it is to succeed, has to appease its customer base. In one fell swoop it could stop all of the angst and hate toward them (well most of it) Scrap official forums a la DAoC (send a ticket for nerfs), Keep NGE servers for the PS£ crowd, though i doubt posters here would buy it (xbox,xbox) and let us get on with it.
The way i see it, complaints and whining caused all this. I was pwned many a time, so improved my char rather than moaning someone was better than me, and my char was pretty tasty. Mathematically, there must be a top limit as to how good a char can be with all the right skills and mods, so what would be the problem. I was never bored and couldn't see a time when i would be. Give us our game and let us play it.
Hahahaha, revamping smuggler after just redoing it TWICE for 2 new combat systems???

It's a new project that is NOT SWG, otherwise he would say nothing.
Does anyone remember Q-3P0? What happened to him? He went on to a new project too.
