In the realm of most RPGs you are the hero. You pick up a rusty sword to save your family in the small village and then go on to greater things. You battle the evil forces and return balance to the world for good. Well, that is all fun, but it has nothing to do with Tyranny. Building on the success of Pillars of Eternity the team at Obsidian is now ready to show their next RPG.

    Is there a development company better than Obsidian? Seriously? While I refuse to play the bad guy, I will enjoy figuring out how to make my character into a good guy (if possible). I won't pass up any Obsidian games, that's for sure. Obsidian is at the top of the mountain.

    I hope they got the writing to make this one interesting and that it becomes more than simply being on the evil side.

    More goodness from Obsidian, i wonder, Pillars is more on Baldurs Gate side of things, is Tyranny more on Fallout 1/2 side of things.

    Tyranny is built off of the same model as Pillars. However, the politics, in depth story, and new companion combinations for combat are damn cool in this game.

    Pillars was a fun game, however the "block doorway with fighter, spam AoEs" model of combat became a chore after a while.

    Also, don't get me started on how the armor/clothing looked. They were straight up jarring in character creation and you could still see the ugly from the isometric perspective.

    So far the art direction looks far better.

    I'm playing Pillars right now and just bought White March so definitely getting this too. They are good.

    I love playing Evil characters. I'm kind of not a person who likes having to control multiple members in a group, but i'm willing to give this one a try.

    Help me Bioware, you're my only hope.

    Is ToR going to be good? Dude it's Bioware making a freaking star wars game, all signs point to awesome. -G4tv MMo report.

    Reminds me a bit of Age of Decadence, which in my opinion is a good thing. I'm also enjoying Pillars wishing there was more but grateful for what I have.

    looks awesome, looking forward to it. I rather the near-release surprises than the years of sneak-peeks.
