1) Delays - Every game in the development process run's into delays, you just don't hear about them because at this stage it's behind closed doors.

2) Developer leaves the game - Another one that simply gets misunderstood, it is very common for people to come and go in every development process and it doesn't mean anything negative what so ever.

So please enlighten me.....

The reason why dsmart is credible than you is because he predicted exactly who will leave. He said the Star marine project manager left before the announcement.

That's a easy one to predict....

Ilfonic was in charge of Star Marine and they were terminated from the project because CR wasn't satisfied with what they had to show for the development time spent. It was then turned over to the Star Citizen Development House in Germany and it was never cancelled as DS has continously stated but merely delayed.

One doesn't have to have too much foresight to see that was coming.

Are you referring to Alex Mayberry ?

Cause if you do then DS predicted nothing. Info about him leaving emerged way before CiG's official announcement. DS just repeated the name and when CiG released the info, in true DS fashion he boasted : i told you so.

You have any proof of that? (that CR was not satisfied with what illfonic developed) All of 2015 CR showed demo footage and promoted the work that was done. Even in Oct of 2015 he was still showing new footage and marketing the game based on it

I think it was more likely that CR realized he did not have enough money to keep going like he had been and he stopped using many of his subcontractors. Which also supports his January rambling about Star Marine not being cancelled which is worded so terribly that most of us can not honestly say what is going on with it AND that Illfonic stated the split was unexpected. Illfonic was not the only subcontractor to be let go in the last quarter of 2015 AND CR did stop allowing refunds after stating only a few people had asked for them. But that is my opinion.

CR rambling about Star Marine "not being cancelled"

"It's definitely in and Star Marine was originally our idea of how to get people to play the FPS before we could put everything together, but since that obviously took longer than we expected to get FPS to the level that we are comfortable with," Roberts said. "By the time we got it to the level we said, 'Okay you guys can play this.' Well we already had all the other things combined with the large world and the 64-bit coordinates and the zone system so that was it. So there you are, we will have Gold Horizon, we will have Star Marine, but that will come online once all the basic FPS features are out in and live in the mini PU."

What does that even mean? "It's definitely in", "Okay you guys can play this". Many people feel he was saying we currently have Star Marine in the current build.

You failed to comprehend the tone of the post you just quoted. It's an anti - SC post not a pro one, filled with sarcasm. A kindergarten kid would have picked this up.

Furthermore, i do not think that said chart is made by SC fans. I guess the "4% Complete" didn't ring a bell either.

I could care less either way. I have no money involved. I wish it success. I mean, I am waiting on the next BIG MMO to sweep me off my feet. However, this game has been spun out of control. The MASSIVE amounts of money..I mean if they just make a space BDO, or ESO, or WoW with this much money...massive failure. This better be ME in space.

The problem with all games like this...not just this one. The company can get as many trillions of dollars as they want from starter packs and donations and make a half-ass game. Of course, people will still claim they only spent $30 so they feel they got their moneys worth. Ok, but what about the trillions they kept and made a half-ass game.

If this does happen...keep in mind I have no proof it will. Look for ALL games to be made this way...why wouldn't they? Sounds like a legitimate way to steal legally.

So CR is saying the FPS module is ready so instead of launching it they will launch it along with other modules which are also ready. Okay that makes perfect sense if you figure he's lying and the fps module isn't ready at all. Why further delay something that is ready to go? That's just plain ignorant.

So I've been informed that this thread is now being emailed around CIG and at least two meetings were held as to discredit what was written. ChrisR didn't attend either but Sandi and Ortwin did with Sean attending only one of them.

Anyway. I'm told the exits are still happening. The reveal however isn't. So if you were looking forward to the trailer, blame me for killing it.

The fact that a forum thread on this site caused CIG to do things is both hilarious and sad.

That is funny. I wonder if they are trying to hide this from Roberts? Being the head of this whole thing, still very surprised he isn't watching these and other forums.
