Recently, during my trip to Rapid Reality's HQ in Atlanta, I saw Africa, The Chronicle and Endless Ages. The later was a surprise. The company has embarked on a project to rebuild and relaunch this aging MMOFPS. Here's what we found out:
When they examined the game that had fallen into their lap, they discovered a wealth of content most subscribers didnt even know was there. It became clear to them that the issue was not a lack of content, but that what did exist was near impossible to fully explore. They also identified outdated graphics, interface and other issues as keys to holding the game back.
And so begins Rapid Realitys mission to re-educate the public on Endless Ages in the hope that people will give it a second chance. Its a tall order and they admit the game will probably never morph into a massive hit, but they do deserve credit for fixing up an existing title theyd never really planned to acquire.
First they showed me the graphics. In Endless Ages, players play as either a human, either male or female; a blobic, a large and slimy character; or an amphibian, aka a frog man. They remodeled all four options fully. The new look is solid. They have a cartoon feel, they move well and. In short, theyre more than acceptable and a mile better than they were before. |

"I left Atlanta with one major concern: how are they improving the game itself? They showed how theyre making it easier to look at and simple to use, but beyond that they were coy. Perhaps we will hear more in the coming weeks."
Perhaps you would have heard more if you had asked more. Shame you didn't think to ask them about the lore and quest changes mentioned on their forums. A simple read there reveals something of what they have planned and all of it seems pretty damned exciting here.
Oh well.
Nothing is as exciting, as frustrating, as achingly hopeful as the word 'if'. Such an amazingly large word should have more letters, don't you think?
I enjoyed EA, ask the dev team how many hours I put into it the first couple days. Its a really good game but like was stated in the article once I reached a certain level I was lost on what to do next. Simply fixing that issue IMHO would get me in the game again.
Great news and I cant wait to give that new froggy a jump!

I played the original Beta and really enjoyed it. I would have subscribed had the game not been primarily PvP later on.
I always thought EA had the best 3D movement of any MMOG and none of the ones I have played since have improved on it. Very much looking forward to trying it again in the new beta.
I did enjoy this game. was my first mmoFPS. I just couldn't get into it, maybe I can the second time around though.

What does this mean?
This game was a pioneer when it came to MMOFPS. I loved playing this game. I was also in the original beta version of the game. The game captured me for a few years. One of the most amazing things about it was that the dev. team was made up of only 2-3 people most of the time for at least the first few years. One of the things I liked the most about this game was that the community was smaller than most games. Most people were familiar to eachother. I still have friends that I talk to almost daily who I met in this game. I'm glad some of the problems are going to be fixed up and the game will be given a marketing boost, but I hope that doesnt take away from the experience.

Really need to see the changes ingame before I make any realy comments. But looking at the shape of the new frog and blob, I'm sceptical.
I've been playing EA for some time, then left, then came back. Much less content then any other game, but pvp is real in EA ^.^
In a few weeks, Endless Ages (their version) enters beta.
This does not impact the current Endless Ages players, save you have a beta account on top of your regular account.
Once they finally deem the game ready for launch, they will move all active characters and accounts overt to the new endless ages.
Basically, think of it like a patch.

why cant we play the game iv searched for ever in the web and every where else why?
The Rapid Reality investors,or "the man" as i like to call em, shut down the company a couple weeks after the game's launch. So....it no longer exists.
