Does this game still has claustrophobic small boxed zones?
Quite disappointed in Richard Garriot, I was expecting much better than this.

Its the problem with the game engine they are using,[mod edit] While Indy games will give some good ideas they will not be well executed.

Its the problem with the game engine they are using, plus add in the low level skills from developers from India.  While Indy games will give some good ideas they will not be well executed.
Aren't they using Unity? Everything I find in google searches says that engine is capable of producing open world games. On top of that ....games like Rust have been made with it by small amateur teams.

I really don't mind zoned games at all, yet I don't think the engine is a good excuse for how small their zones are.

They are using Unity, which is more than capable of handling a non instanced world.
I really don't understand their decision.
This is the most instanced MMO I ever played, I kept hitting invisible walls everywhere I turned.
    Really disappointed.

I'm not. The guy hasn't made a successful game in over fifteen years.

i love everything about the game, except the constant zoning. if this game and Black Desert Online could me merged, I would probably have my perfect game!

IDK the game personally but if that picture is any indication ,it looks bad to amateurish.
I see maybe 3 textures 2 brown,a wood one and the dirt and then the green leaf texture, pretty sad effort really but sure makes it easy to not have to test the map for lag and draw issues.

I don't mind zoning at all,as long as it is not too long, like 15 seconds max is ok with me.However judging by what i see this game could easily draw itself on the fly and be seamless although there is no such thing as seamless ,only to the eye.

IMO this game is not a passionate game, his design reflects solely on the cash shop and that is always a bad thing.
