Wonder how the tie in will work out. Probably similar to how Dragon Quest was. Level cap increase for crafting and gathering? Now I'm going to need to do some research on that to stay competitive. Looks to be some good changes overall, I wonder if they'll have more information on Ishgard housing and the army command system they mentioned in the past for the Grand Company ranking updates.
Due to frequent travel in my youth, English isn't something I consider my primary language (and thus I obtained quirky ways of writing).  German and French were always easier for me despite my family being U.S. citizens for over a century.  Spanish I learned as a requirement in school, Japanese and Korean I acquired for my youthful desire of anime and gaming (and also work now).  I only debate in English to help me work with it (and limit things).  In addition, I'm not smart enough to remain fluent in everything and typically need exposure to get in the groove of things again if I haven't heard it in a while.  If you understand Mandarin, I know a little, but it has actually been a challenge and could use some help.

Also, I thoroughly enjoy debates and have accounts on over a dozen sites for this.  If you wish to engage in such, please put effort in a post and provide sources -- I will then do the same with what I already wrote (if I didn't) as well as with my responses to your own.  Expanding my information on a subject makes my stance either change or strengthen the next time I speak of it or write a thesis.  Allow me to thank you sincerely for your time.

    Expanded armory chest is nice.
A tie-in with a game they won't release over here. Thanks for rubbing it in, jerks.
Haven't even gotten my pre-expansion legendary weapon yet, but nice to see they're adding more grind.

Let me know when they finally have a housing system which isn't complete crap. Instanced housing I'm fine with. Limited instanced housing which costs ridiculous sums of money and provides exclusive access to content which shouldn't be exclusive to begin with, I'm not.

Instanced housing should never be limited. Period. That's why it's instanced.

AN' DERE AIN'T NO SUCH FING AS ENUFF DAKKA, YA GROT! Enuff'z more than ya got an' less than too much an' there ain't no such fing as too much dakka. Say dere is, and me Squiggoff'z eatin' tonight!

We are born of the blood. Made men by the blood. Undone by the blood. Our eyes are yet to open. FEAR THE OLD BLOOD.

Patch 3.3 will bring an increase of item level cap for crafters and gatherers.

that means new and better gear not new level cap

When you look at Steam reviews for MMORPGs- Which I find to be a lot less toxic than Metacritic, it's pretty clear that FFXIV garners a lot positive reviews than the other MMOs on the top 100.

With TERA and ESO there are a lot of bad reviews. FFXIV mostly has positive ones.

I don't play FFXIV but I think it is a miracle what they have done. Everyone I talk to say that the Heavensward story is incredible and the best story Square Enix have told since Kingdom Hearts 2 or maybe even FFX.

It's a pretty fun game. Good old fashioned MMO with so much to do.

They just keep adding fluff to their game, while not addressing what makes it a stale treadmill.

Poor itemization with little content really hurts the game.

Its a beautiful sports car, with nothing under the hood.

Its not really "old fashioned" its pretty much set up like any post WoW theme park, which is why i could only stand it for so long.

I think this a is a great way to describe it. I saw the pattern for every patch from the start of 2.0 and they just copy/pasted it every patch in the expansion. Let me list what comes in 90% of every patch

    1) more story missions
    2) a primal with 2 modes
    3) a rotation between the 24 man and 8 man raids which are basically the same with new mechanics per boss
    4) 1 new dungeon and usually 2 old altered dungeons on "hard mode" that do the same 1-2-3 linear designs and bosses with trash mobs inbetween.
5)every other month the relic type weapon gets a new set of grindy ways to make it the best in slot until next patch

Its been that same thing with some minor stuff inbetween nearly since the start. They found an easy pattern of vertical linear instanced content to do at nauseum and people eat it up.

Chris Roberts should take notes,Square always lays out the long term plan but most importantly, delivers it.

On the content, well what more do you want, that is the game design.

If you want something refreshing then ask for it.This is what i have been saying for the last 20 years and ever since RFO went down,if you sit idle you'll never get anything.

Me personally i loved the besieged idea in FFXI,i would love to see that type of content in every game.I did comment prior that i wanted that exact type of content in SWTOR  and expected it and was very disappointed when nothing of the sort was in the game.I find it just sad that after all these games on PC,the little game that could "FFXI" still has the best content idea of any game and that is Besieged.

What FFXIV did that i detest is those small little circle fights, people should have complained and said "we do not want anymore of that".Also Ilevel gear is a big turnoff for me,again speak up or leave the game.

Just putting it here that I believe they'll have a "Vana'diel" expansion at some point in the game's life. With them hinting at doing much more with the Vana'diel world at various interviews -- Including Grandmasters and FFXI iOS. As well as other projects, and the limited time events that Introduced the FFXI Samurai apprentice that was sent to Eorzea and spoke of going back one day, and perhaps taking us with her (though it may just be a tie-in as to how we get Samurai, similar to Yugiri). Not to mention them saying that they still have plans for Vana'diel when they were closing the console support and that they wanted to welcome old FFXI players in FFXIV in a special way.
