After leveling 4 characters to 50 I had the most success with sorc. Ranger is better but you have to be good. My main is a valk and they do ok but sorc is better.
I did a load of research before CBT2 about this and it's hard to find a consensus. Mainly I think because people tend to play the classes they are drawn too 'better' thru sheer practise.
However, taking all the articles, forum posts and guidance from experienced players that I read prior to the game opening, I would say Ranger is answered the most to that question. Often people add the proviso that it's hard to play at that level tho.
Pre-Awakening I would say Ranger, Witch/wizard and Post-Awakening I would say Sorceress, Warrior (solo-pvp). But we still have quite a few awakening's that have not been reviled.
