This is not a FF anymore, its a mix of Devil May Cry and some other popular games. The company has changed to the worse.

I disagree. I think SE is doing a great job with the series. Times have changed as has gaming. I look at it as a good thing that they are being forward thinking and not just making games of today in the mold of their games of the past. FF has never had a problem changing the formula up. FF 15 looks to be an amazing game and I am very excited to play it.
Sorry, but no. I liked FFARR but FF13 was horrible and the mobile remakes were pitiful.

12 was good, it used the same type of combat system as Xenoblade and FInal Fantasy 11 which is basically the standard tab target mmo combat.  And I liked the story and characters, the game reminded me of Final Fantasy Tactics which is was also about war and politics, especially in art style.

I didnt like final fantasy 13 much other than the nice graphics.

UPDATE: Gamespot is also reporting that the event will announce the release date for FFXV as September 30, 2016. This is unconfirmed by Square Enix, but could possibly be true. And a demo looks like it will drop right after the event too!

Gotta love some of these hilarious people who see others as lesser beings for liking a game they hate.

Do I think 12 was perfect? No. If they hadn't forcefully removed Matsuno, who knows what the game could have been? But I'll say this; Final Fantasy 12 is the most interesting Final Fantasy since 7 and 8.

FF9 and FF10 might have been strong titles. Those have a lot of fans, and I am partial to them, but FF12 truly was something else. It was a really interesting game. It was a game where I didn't care deeply for any of the characters but I found the overall political plot to to be well done. Great voice acting too. By far the best in the series. I think the characters were the weakest part of FF12.

FF13 is just.. It's like Spectre. Someone greenlit this who didn't understood the consequences of not having a good story. If FF13 had a really good story (like the Witcher 3) it would have been an incredible game. Visually and the combat system is awesome in FF13. I really think FF13 had a good combat system. A very fast paced turn based system.

    But the story... It hurts.

Personally nothing tickled me since FFX. I bought FFXII but have yet to beat it. I haven't liked the world or graphics since then. I am the high fantasy type (dragons, knights, medieval era stuff).

I am basing this off 3 short shots, but everything seemed very linear. There was always a path with artificial barriers. I wonder if it just appeared that way or if the game plays that way as well.

FFXIII got really good after you put a good chunk of time into it.

I didn't notice anything overly terrible about the FFXIII story, really. Nothing special that I needed to continue on with it in the following two games. But I liked it. Especially the parts with Sazh, since I liked his character more than anything.

The combat system took some getting used to, but once you learned it it was pretty fun.

Yada yada. It was actually a pretty solid game, but it was just over-hyped, and just wasn't what people were expecting going in. Also it dragged on a bit too long at the beginning before the story ramped up to anything even remotely interesting. Definitely don't regret my time playing it, though.
