PnP that you would like to see as a MMO

Just like the title says.

With all the PnP games attempting to make it to MMO what do you think may be a good one, or even a bad one.

Right now in development or soon to come to reatail is:

Dungeons & Dragons (disappointing)

Warhammer: Fantasy RPG

Middle Earth

Star Wars

Star Trek

For my own ideal PnP system to go to MMO would be Palladiums: Rifts. This would be a great ideal cause it has tons of materail to work with for expansions: Races, Occupations, Worlds, Monsters, and various possible governments. Not to mention, that you would be possibly be starting in a very familiar world, Earth.

Only other thing I would like to see as a MMO is not PnP, Fallout. Bottlecaps, nukes, mutants, and nostalgia need I say more?

I could see the Shadow World universe from Rolemaster making a great MMORPG, the game system was highly mathematical with the ability to do just about anything; coupled with a highly detailed world.

    I always wanted

The Elder scrolls: Morrowind Online ::::31::

Bethesda's (publisher) ideas and skillsystems + the atmosphere morrowind brought was just unique and great. An online game with the potential of Morrowind would definitly be a bomb.

    cheers ::::15::

Yessssss, Fallout series is one of my favorite RPG of all time.

When you create an account you have to designated an zip code to reigister at the nearest vault.

Example: I live in SE missouri. I would have to register at St. Louis Vault, Kansas City Vault, or Springfield Vault.

Keep traveling like it was in the original game. Just have randoms also include other players. In-between major, trade, and junction cities have areas of wasteland that can be for questing, farming, or even PvP. Have Oasis(Oasises image )in random areas for non-PvP farming and questing.

Got to keep skills like they were especially treasure hunter and luck. Dont worry about classes, we are all the same, SCREWED. Just add some new features like techno savant skill(craft), Mutated cerebral cortex( psionics), and Healins( pots crafting). Just set it up in a skill tree requirement chart ( require luck before you get treasure hunter.......)

Come on you cant have a thread like this without mentioning World of Darkness and Shadowrun! Still i would give an old man sexual pleasure in a dark alley if they gave me Fallout Online... image

To the subject, an MMO (World Of Darkness) would be a new step into the MMO genr

I would go with Prasse's idea, that would be excellent. 3 races living in secret of eachother, in a dynamic world like ours with secret lairs and tunnels for the vampires. Would rock!

Otherwise I would want a Fallout world MMORPG, could work.

But mostly I want StarCraft Online! Not a PnP but still image

And I don't want to hear anything about "I don't believe in vampires" because *I* don't believe in vampires, but I believe in my own two eyes, and what *I* saw is ******* vampires! "

Shadowrun, if done correctly and true to the original direction of FASA (pre WizKids, pre-pre WotC), would rule all.

However, if SOE got a hold of it, I wouldn't even bother buying it, because it would simply break this old mans heart to watch that company destroy yet another good game.

Ah yes. I'm going with the OP on this one. RIFTS would make an awesome MMORPG.

In fact, just about a year ago, I was trying to start talks to gain the rights to the RIFTS intellectual property so I could start a development studio, get a business plan together, get funding, hire development team members and start building the MMO using an already developed game engine to cut down on development time (why reinvent the wheel for your first large scale project right?).

Funny how I could never get the one guy I needed to talk to on the phone. He was always "out of the office","in a meeting" or otherwise "busy". Then shortly after that I find out that the rights to produce a RIFTS RPG was given to some company and the game would only be available on some handheld device. WHAT A HORRIBLE DECISION ON PALLADIUM'S PART!!!

The game is huge and deserves the power that a PC can bring it. Screw handhelds. image
