Is it still just a facebook game? That's literally all R2games makes. They release title after title with the same game where you start a bunch of cool stuff flashes on the screen (it's also in browser not an actual client) it has quests appear at the side like games tend to have, then you auto path to the battles, let it fight the battle itself, and get exp. Then you notice that there's everything facebook games have, including alternate currency, VIP levels (the more you pay in the shop the higher VIP level and benefits you get, but only on that server!) energy you have to wait to refill to play more or pay, and gear that increases stats immensely just so you feel more powerful so you will pay more to keep going. That's every single game they have ever launched. Then they roll servers every week so that you have to either roll on the new server and have to pay more money, or deal with being on a dead server. I think last time I played league of angels they had 100+ servers, and everything other than the new ones were dead. Also didn't the dude from R2 games do a talk and say that he learned everything about making games from Chinese companies?
I think R2Games is just a publisher for LOA. The League of Angels games (LOA, LOA2, and LOA:Fire Raiders) are GTArcade games and their parent company is Youzu Interactive. Youzu/GTArade mainly seem to make League of Angels related games and a few others. As you mentioned, R2Games makes tons and tons of similar games, according to their Wikipedia entry, and so very well may be, shall we say, not too great. The LOA stuff is pretty well done, but does suffer from that same model. I will say my experience with LOA: Fire Raiders has been fairly positive and GTArcade seems very generous with free diamonds and such. I haven't spent anything on it and haven't needed to really. I wouldn't mind giving them some, just that I can't seem to use their payment system.
As all these companies are from China/Hong Kong, I wouldn't be surprised if they have connections other than just publishing deals. Many games using the same assets show up from some of these companies and the dev/publisher arrangements aren't always very clear.
I played the closed beta and the open beta. The game is a completely pay to win and also pay to continue kind of a setup. I am amazed that the recharge and the periodic recharge they are asking are too much for what the game offers. You basically have in PVE the same repeated stuff with difficulty increased through stats of monsters or formation of the monsters.
When it comes to ARENA, they have mastered the art of fooling the player base by server merging technique. Basically what they are doing is starting a server and then let their player base gain certain BR. When the player base gets a certain BR, they are then server merging to bring in stronger BR players so as you feel weak and lost. The solution to this is you will recharge to keep your ranking in ARENA. A really nifty idea to keep people playing and trying when all they have to do is server merge to bring in stronger BR player base to make you feel incompetent. The reason why they start 100s of servers is to server merge the CASHIERS and make them pay more and keep others away. This way they are actually making a server of cashiers and concentrating their support on that server and eliminating other players who are either not recharging or are just too slow or clever to be fooled by this technique.
The guild system is one of the worst you can even find in a browsing game. The guild chat is silent and some players you find online are all in world chat. Guilds in this game actually have levels and specific numbers. They will decide for you in which guild you will belong depending on your recharge value. Higher level guilds offer you special rewards which can be unlocked through contributions and as such will be kept away from players not recharging. The guild leader does not lose anything to kick you out, however if you leave the guild, you will have a cool down to join another guild to do the daily quests. This cool down can again be nulled by paying diamonds which you can recharge and get.
The legendary hero kingdom is more or less luck dependent and almost all the aspects of the game are either controlled through diamonds (you can recharge to get) or time. Thus if you consider to be able to compete in this game then the only way is to recharge and spent as much dollars as you can. Hence well from your guild to your progress, to your palace dungeon team, etc is in their control.
If you consider of playing this game you are actually letting yourself controlled by a community with too many players on the list but may be just controlled remotely by a few game support to make it look more competitive as you progress. This forces you to use recharge and well you can well lose much real dollars if even you take their bate.
I have not played beyond the seven day event time. However, I think that this game would have been better without the event and carnival and a mad rush that it is. Most higher level content post level 40 has little helper where you can auto and go afk for hours reducing it's challenge and even if you are not using the auto helper, you will feel left out and deserted as all others are.
Basically if you want to play the game, just join a new server and avail the seven day events and do not recharge at all for first seven days. If you like the game and think of paying then may be go for a VIP post level 50.

" Don't listen to anyone who tells you that you can't play this or that. That's nonsense. Make up your mind, and you'll never whine or repent about gaming hours anymore, then have a go at every Game. Open up the Internet, join in all the Mmorpgs you can. Go make the Guild. But never, never let them persuade you that things are too difficult or impossible. "

Funny they showed a very short clip[ of creating the animations but no actual combat shown.
Your not going to generate any interest with that video,it shows nothing.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
It's because it doesn't really exist. It's like watching your people attack things with GIANT numbers popping up.
