imageFuture Content Teased In Korean Developer Event

PearlAbyss and Daum were on hand during a Korean press event to reveal forthcoming content additions for Black Desert Online. The new content will first be implemented on Korean servers, but it is likely that it will also arrive for other version at some indistinct point in the future.

    There's never a set timeline for when things arrive in other versions, though it's guaranteed to be at least several months. Most people like to get a peek ahead. ;)

    The sky is the limit for this game.

    I'm glad they went with dark elves instead of dwarves. :)

    It won't be a "race"

    It will be a class, but it will be a Dark Elf... like Giant is really a beserker...

    They are both a race by nature, and a class by skill and profession.

    Like fine wine, BDO just keeps getting better and better with time.

    Since Ranger is already a female elf i think dark elf will be male, bummer. I can already see the xXxdrizztxXx floodgates being open lol

    I would hope so.  If only but to quell the complaints by many players that there isn't enough diversity gender-wise in classes.  I'd hate to see BDO go the route of TERA.  Every new class in TERA is female.  Don't get me wrong, we love our females but options are always good.

    I sure hope the dark elf is indeed male if it's going to be race restricted.

    I would love to try a battlemage.

    I agree, the more options they add the better. This could be my first male character in the game, just because it is not human, it is not old(wizzard), and it is not a giant. I hope they eventually add a female counterpart for the berserker. I want a berserker but the face options for the giants look kind of dumb so i skipped them.

    Why would they alienate it's NA player base from testing the content lol.

    This is like saying,KR players are the only ones capable of testing this content.
    I would suspect they don't want to give any indication the content is coming even though it is the exact same procedure they would import the files into both clients,so 100% they have something dirty up their sleeve.

    Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

    It would not only be difficult, but very confusing, for a player base to test a game's content patch that has not been fully updated with content patches released prior to the one being tested.  It would be different if we were up to date content-wise, but we are not, we are way behind.

    Unless they screw it with pay to win items with stats etc

    No forced PvP game will ever be a WoW killer - PvE servers with flagged only PvP or bust

    They included a drawing in the links and it was a female elf with a long blade.

    It's hard enough to give dates for US companies for US games.  (god forbid they aren't on time).  How much harder do you think it is to launch the updates in Korea, then westernize them, then implement again.  A date? Not realistic.

    Pearl Abyss (BDO company) work in a day for 15 hours.
    Korean server's user are always concerned about the contents developer employees.

    Great game but this is just recycling news... can't you guys get some inside information or just post old news?
