  For all of those people who want a 150 W video card in a laptop and are willing to pay a ton of money to get it?
  
  And, of course, they advertise a laptop with a 4K monitor as being for Oculus Rift usage trying to get you not to actually use the monitor.

  ... the Xeon E3-1505M v3 model costs $6,900, the Core i7-6920HQ model costs $6,300, and the Core i7-6700HQ model costs $5,500.

  150 W video cards in a thin and light laptop would tend to melt things.  So they had to make it thick.
