Michael I agree with you on the bugs! Been trying to play on my Kindle Fire, the $50, and when it runs it runs nice... then... comes a screen freeze, sigh. Annoying.

Hopefully the next update is laser focused on dealing with the bugs. I do think the crash issues absolutely need to be priority one here. Nothing pisses me off more than losing energy (or PvP ranks) due to a crash!

So, assuming I'm reading part of the article right, you get penalized if you crash or DC in the middle of a battle?

....I think if I'm going to play more turn-based browser-ish games, I'll just stick to the ones where if you crash/DC/close during a battle and come back later (be it 5 seconds or 5 hours), you just continue where you left off.  These apps always DC and crash more than I'd like.

So far I'm enjoying this game.  It's similar to Star Wars: Galaxy Heros (which is a great game btw).  Been waiting for this to launch since I put some time into the first one.  If you enjoyed the first one, this one is a nice improvement.

I do agree with you about the store. I want to spend some money and get some heros. But the fact that the "hero" boxes also drop abilities pisses me off. It doesn't encourage me to spend at all. I've only spent $10 on the special offer of getting spider-man. I would be willing to spend a bit more for boxes that only gave heros. You hit the nail on the head with that. But I imagine we won't see that anytime soon.

I would also love to see some Xmen like the previous game had. Is it because Xmen are Sonys property and that's why we haven't seen any yet? Or are they yet to come? I'm sure you don't have that answer, but I wonder if the developer will shed some light on that eventually.

I wouldn't get your hopes up for any X-Men/FF characters, unfortunately. :( I don't know this for certain, mind you, but I feel it's pretty safe to say given the way Marvel has been handling things lately.

If you crash, you'll need to restart the fight, yep. It's annoying for sure!

I bought it... and deleted it after 2 days... it's going to prove way more costly than Future Fight and far less satisfying. Especially since I "earned" Shehulk and Ironfist... blech.

I'm sure if I take some time to google it i'll find it.  But maybe you have some insight that I won't find on google.  Is there a reason they were allowed to use the Xmen/FF in the orignal AA?  They have a large roster even beyond those two specific groups.  Did they change publishers or lose the license?  Any info that you may know would be greatly appreciated.  It also might give clarity on future hero additions.  Thanks in advance.

BTW. Thanks for taking the time to answer my question.  It is very appreciated :+1:

If you enjoy turn based rpg games, you will love this game.  The game gives you a decent roster for free off the bat.  And you can earn cash shop currency in game from leveling and achievements/dailies.  The best selling point is that it's free 2 play so you only lose time/data if you happen to dislike it.  If anyone wants to add me in game.  Shoot me a PM.

Marvel's pulled back from anything mutant/FF-related with regards to their non-comics licenses over the past couple of years. The original AA was out before their apparent moratorium, which is why it's flush with X-Men/FF characters. AA has only had a few mutant additions in the past two years.

Marvel seems to really dislike them, to the point where they were extremely angry with Gazillion when they had a Fantastic Four-related event last year or so in Marvel Heroes.

It comes off as completely childish and is basically cutting off one's nose to spite one's face, but it is what it is.

In RPG games like these you really shouldn't judge the character based off your bias towards the comic character.  I've never been a big fan of Iron Fist, but he is probably one of the best healers in the game at the moment.  I WISH i could of gotten him from the first few free hero boxes.  Then there is She-Hulk.  She is easily one of the best tanks atm as well.  She does pretty good damage and has a massive self heal along with her tactical self heal.  She is like a paladin tank.  Hard to kill.

If you ever consider trying the game again.  Know that you have 2 very solid heroes waiting in your roster.

Makes total sense I suppose.  Your logic is sound.  Thanks for taking the time to enlighten me.  That sucks to hear.  I hope they realize how much money they are losing on not only not including some of the most popular Marvel assets (Xmen).  But also the point MikeB made in this article about the cash shop.

Basically, this. I really wish they would reverse course on this. It's not fair to the fans.

This is a great article that rounds up a bunch of the behind the scenes pettiness that has been going on over the last couple of years. I'm sure there's more, but it should give you a good idea of how ridiculous things are.

Good article.  Somethings I knew but a few I didn't.  Was definitely worth the read.  Thank you for linking it.  Some of the things they are doing is kinda brutal.  The animosity is apparent and they aren't even trying to hide it.  While I wish all the Marvel Universe went back to Marvel/Disney.  I still don't understand this mentality.

I agree with you.  If they don't care about the fans.  They should at least realize how much $ they are losing.  That seems to motivate most.

Same crashing issues, nothing worse than losing energy just as you start a mission because of a crash.. And I would probably spend some money on it if you had more of an option for purchase. I thought the Starter pack a little high at 9.99 but I would have bought it if I could have picked my Superhero or there was more than one choice.

Overall I am still playing and enjoying my time there..

I restarted my game, honestly.  She-Hulk just wasn't doing it for me.  Maybe late game she's good but realistically having to hold-hold-hold-attack was a waste of time.

Restarting, I pulled Vision, Gamora, Hank Pym, and just unlocked 3* Iron Man.  MUCH better start to the game and I've now completed the first (Sinister 6) chapter.

In PvP, Visions 3* IMMA-GUNNA-MESS-YOU-UP beam is fantastic.

Vision, Gamora, and Iron Man are great. Pym, not so much, but you have IM, so who cares. Nice pull!

Tip for Vision: bring in 3 star Phantom Strike, Osmium Punch, and Solar Jewel. Use Phantom Strike to give yourself Sharpshooting, then hit Solar Jewel to spend all your energy, and follow up with Osmium Punch for maximum damage.

Surprised to hear you don't care for Pym.  I got him and he is my best blaster.  I have the 3 star ability for him and it slaughters most groups of enemies.  I found him a lot better than Hawkeye, but maybe that's just me since I see a lot of people use Hawkeye as their leader.

My general team up is Hank Pym, Moonknight and spiderman or Thor.  My reserve is usually Drax, Spider-woman and She-hulk.  Still need to get a stealth character.  I could of gotten black widow for my free 7 day avenger.  But I couldn't resist getting Thor lol.

Pym just really isn't all that special considering the competition. Hawkeye is a workhorse. He's not crazy, but he gets the job done. Also, he never misses, which is great for dealing with Wasps in PvP.

You've got a decent roster otherwise. I definitely would've gone for BW over Thor, but he can do some work.  Grab Gamora's 3 star and you can chain resets with her.

Haha, I've been trying to get Gamora.  But as you know I keep getting awesome abilities instead of actual heroes out of my hero boxes.  5 boxes in a row I got abilities I've already unlocked.  The ability points are nice, but not what I want after spending real money.  Here's hoping I get some better luck in my next boxes.
  • MikeBMikeB Community ManagerAdministrator RarePosts: 6,555
Oh, sorry. Thought you said you had Gamora. Yeah, try not to waste gold on the hero boxes. As I noted in my article they just disappoint more often than not. Save your gold for energy/scouting/PvP refills.
  • MrMelGibsonMrMelGibson Member EpicPosts: 3,039
Well I decided to try one more time.  Got 3 boxes and was lucky and got Iron fist and Black Widow (age of ultron 1 star version).  Glad I got Thor instead of BW now.  Even though this BW is a tactical.
  • MrMelGibsonMrMelGibson Member EpicPosts: 3,039
Also just got some gold from leveling up and used it on one more box and somehow the RNG gods gave me Daredevil.  I'm pretty much set on each kind of hero right now.  Now for using the gold on the scouting.
