Vostok Games has opened up Survarium to anyone interested to try it out via Steam since our last interview earlier in 2015. We managed to catch up to the busy devs to find out what's new since then. See what they had to say in our exclusive interview.

They've been saying the same thing about PvE for three years now. "It's coming soon! No really, it's almost done! We promise!"

They've also been 'actively working' on the team deathmatch for two years. It's bloody team deathmatch! One of the most basic game types out there, and it's been TWO YEARS. The only thing they're doing is taking the CIG approach and cranking out more shit to buy in the cash shop. They even use the same tactic of claiming that an online game is never actually 'released', which is just a big fat load of BS.

These guys really needed to be taken to task, but yet again the 'journalists' here do nothing but ask a bunch of softball questions. But I don't blame you guys completely. Sites like this rely on ad revenue from game companies, which you lose if you piss off the wrong people. So you can't ask the hard questions, you can't put the screws to idiots like Vostok.

That's why game journalism is so fundamentally flawed in the first place.

Slightly off topic, but yesterday was the anniversary of MLK Jr.'s death (you left us far too soon, my friend), and a radio station I listen to fairly often played one of the original news reports from 1968. It had nothing but factual information, and was delivered without bias. The reporter gave no opinion or offered any speculation, and I can't help but lament the fact that real journalism like that no longer exists.

Goes with the times, I guess.

AN' DERE AIN'T NO SUCH FING AS ENUFF DAKKA, YA GROT! Enuff'z more than ya got an' less than too much an' there ain't no such fing as too much dakka. Say dere is, and me Squiggoff'z eatin' tonight!

We are born of the blood. Made men by the blood. Undone by the blood. Our eyes are yet to open. FEAR THE OLD BLOOD.

I wish devs would realize typical military type guns are just too boring.

Levels or level gear is a really bad idea for a fps game,it causes or can cause unbalance.

I never like any radar in my games,it is a better idea than other games but it is still radar.
I always judge versus UT99 if not better then why would i play it.

People often wonder why i use FFXI in the rpg genre to judge other games,if those games are not better then again why would i play them?
To me moving fro ma better option to a much lesser game is like selling a corvette for a Corolla, nobody in their right mind would do that.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

I always think it is odd that people pay money to "save time." This means you are paying the game developer to play their game less.

This could be nice game if they didnt take the COD/BF direction!
They should stick with stalker atmosphere, not so arcade gameplay, and without generic PVP modes!
    Real shame.

It's not just Ad revenue from games.  Believe me, if they think there's a return on investment they'll put an Ad anywhere and they won't care.  They'll even advertise on a site that gave their game a bad review if they think that the people on the site will try it out anyways.

The reason that you don't go into an exclusive interview with a gaming company and pummel them with fastball questions is because in order to get an exclusive interview you need access.  You go in and hammer them with "Why the fuck isn't this done yet?!?" and that access will slap shut tighter than a submarine hatch.

played game for over 2 years now , it is even worse than when I started , Vg have no communication to the western communities and only care about Russian players , VG ...............
escape from tarkov will be either what survarium should have been or better VG you best start answering questions around you free mode as that is why most people are here to play , a yearly update is not on from a developer and to find this years update not even in the forums but on another web site is even more disappointing................
