Game Informer is featuring an article in its print version about the Final Fantasy series. In it, the news is revealed that Final Fantasy VII will be split into three full-length games with shorter, smaller episodes in between.

    massive fan of FFVII but I almost feel they shouldn't have bothered making this in the first place

    This is why im worried about the direction they are taking. If this ends up being the case i will just replay my original ff7 disc on an emulator.

    I am cool with it as long as each installment is like a full game.

    If it some short 10 hour game that cost full price then we have a problem.

    If you're looking to replay ff7 go do it. They've stated several times they're not going to do this remake unless they make massive changes, which they have already.

    I'll wait and buy it on discount like I do all games lol people have no self control. Edit: There's also people raging about spoilers....for a 19-20 year old game lol....But a guilty admission from me is that I would buy Crisis Core if it ever got ported to pc instantly.

First you finally decide to do a remake of it. *which most fans of FF7 wanted* Second you decide to change how some things in game work (i.e combat) *which most fans of FF7 didn't want and/or ask for* Third you decide to split into 3 games. *which no fans want and/or ask for either* What's next you announce that it will have paid DLC?

    In Death - Sacrifice.

    ofc alternative costumes are paid dlc.

    Uhhh Im confused.
    Its a FF7 Remake and its their money? They know true fans will pay whatever. Ive been waiting for years for this!

    Ahahahhahahahah, no. FFVII was a full-length game already. All this does is warn us that FFXV is going to be short as shit, Square. Good job giving people what they want while in no way actually giving people what they want. That's like quantum game developing.

    All I really want to know is if one of the games will have chocobo ranching and racing...
    I want to help design and develop a PvE-focused, solo-friendly, sandpark MMO which combines crafting, monster hunting, and story.  So PM me if you are starting one.

    When I saw Midgar and heard ff7 combat music, I got goosebumps. When I actually saw the combat, I threw up in my mouth.

    I'd be perfectly happy with a standalone chocobo rancher game, but if it's DLC I'd be dubious about both the quality and the difficulty of accessing it within the game it's attached to.
